Head of Education at Fredericia Gymnasium

Fredericia Gymnasium is seeking a new educational leader with start date of January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

We are looking for an educational leader who wants to work with pedagogical development, project management, evaluation and quality work as well as personnel management. The position naturally also includes various operational tasks, just as there is a teaching obligation attached to it. You should have good collaboration skills, pedagogical insight and preferably experience from the gymnasium sector. You do not necessarily need to have experience in a formal leadership position, but you should be willing to take responsibility, lead, create engagement and develop yourself as a leader.

The position includes several forms of leadership: pedagogical leadership, personnel leadership and team leadership. You must therefore, in addition to solid subject matter expertise, be able to keep many balls in the air and have good communicative abilities. We also emphasize that you have an appreciative and trust-building approach to leadership and collaboration.

You can expect to become part of a management group where we work closely together, but at the same time each have our own areas of responsibility and tasks. We are an inclusive group that values professional discussions, joint problem solving and an informal tone. We drink a lot of coffee, enjoy a smile on our faces and emphasize that it should be both rewarding and pleasant to go to work together.

In connection with filling the position, the areas of responsibility and the final distribution of tasks within the school's leadership will be discussed. The pedagogical and development-oriented work will, however, be central in the new educational leader's job profile.

Fredericia Gymnasium has about 700 students spread across 6-8 gymnasium tracks and 3 HF tracks. We are nearly 70 teachers and 20 other staff.
