In this position, you will help make it successful both in a school and a leisure context.

You will be attached to our youth culture houses Blok X and Stationen , from which many different activities, events and projects are initiated and carried out - all with a strong focus on youth involvement and based on the initiatives, dreams and needs of the young people. Here we put art, theatre, music, ceramics, design, gaming, health and democracy at the center as the common third in our work with communities, learning and well-being.

About the position

We are looking for a creative profile with solid ceramics skills, strong didactic competencies and aesthetically oriented learning processes, who can be a consistent figure in the collaboration within our youth culture houses, with youth educational institutions, clubs and in our school collaboration and inter-municipal initiatives.

Your task will partly be to run our well-functioning leisure group primarily within ceramics and partly to teach and co-develop various program collaborations with schools and other actors in the youth sector in Aalborg Municipality. As a starting point there will be both well-being programs for young people in lower secondary classes and alternative programs where you use your skills in culture in work with the personal and academic development of the youth.

The position as project employee

As a project employee your main tasks

  • Run the ceramics workshop in Blok X: Responsible for coordination, development and teaching for both school and leisure groups
  • Well-being in focus: Strengthen young people's well-being and self-esteem through tactile work, art and ceramics
  • Project development: Create projects that harness the tactile material's potential to give young people new perspectives on life and self-worth
  • Cross-cutting collaboration: Contribute with the creative and artistic angle into UngAalborg's other activities.

You are the perfect match if

  • You are a curious, creative person with strong relational skills and have a good and immediate contact with young people
  • You are someone the youth will want to follow, you can create ownership, you are passionate about working with young people and making a difference
  • You have good drive, are proactive and can inspire young people, especially regarding what ceramics and tactile work can do for their well-being and self-image
  • You can plan, coordinate and facilitate creative processes and manage diverse projects, preferably with an educational overview
  • You are brave, curious and solution-oriented – even when barriers and challenges arise along the way
  • You thrive in a project-oriented workplace in constant development with many varied tasks from teaching and development to administrative functions
  • You are ready for shifting working hours, including weekends and evening work and high workload at certain times of the year

Additionally, you should be able to see yourself working according to the organization's ideals, including that you:

  • understand that everyone involved shares the goal of success
  • can put your own professional expertise to use in new ways
  • challenge the notion of how learning can take place
  • believe that collaboration lifts the task
  • have courage, act and therefore make mistakes

We offer

  • A job in a dynamic organization where job satisfaction and trust are at the forefront
  • Close collaboration in a creative, innovative and strong cross-disciplinary team of project employees at Blok X and the rest of UngAalborg
  • High spirits and space to make mistakes
  • Freedom in the work
  • A professional approach to tasks and activities
  • A job with a high degree of competence development
