About the job and the tasks

Family Team Juelsminde is part of the authorities section in Children & Families, Hedensted Municipality. We are physically located at the town hall in Juelsminde and cover the eastern part of the municipality.

When you are employed in Children & Families, you will become part of a workplace that values well-being and provides space for individuals to use their core competencies in professional work. We are focused on ensuring that everyone contributes to a safe and positive shared culture, while we together perform good social work.

With us, we are employed to both master the handling of the core task and to master positive collaboration both internally and externally. This means that in Children & Families we are employed for an equal mix of professionalism and collaboration – even when it gets tough. In the Family Team the tasks include

Our expectations of you

We expect you to be a team player and ready to take shared responsibility in the department's daily operations. You are prepared to contribute to the development of the department's methods for solving the core task in Learning, and you have strong communication skills – both verbally and in writing.

You can manage a busy workday and you have a good mood. You are a trained social worker, and ideally you have several years of experience in the field. You have in-depth knowledge of DUBU at user level.

  • You know your strengths and development potential, and you also see the value in both receiving and giving advice and sparring.
  • You view reflection on your own practice as a natural and necessary part of being and remaining a skilled social worker.

Why you should choose us

In Family Team Juelsminde we have a good, spacious and relaxed collegial environment where we support and help each other. We offer appropriately challenging work, sparring and feedback to each other as a foundation for development both individually and as a team. We do this both at our team meetings and ad hoc, as a natural part of being on the same team.

Openness and trust are important to us, so we stand together in both the good and the difficult in taking care of our shared core task.

In Children & Families Authority we have various common social work concepts that ease daily work. The professional system is DUBU, and we continuously develop supporting tools in social work, including a digital overview tool that connects a visual case flow with procedures, templates, legislation and involvement methods.

In Children & Families we have across the authorities and the execution area developed some principles for our collaboration, which we have named "Together we are strongest" in general. This means that we are all part of a mentalizing feedback culture, where we strive to make each other look good, both organizationally, relationally and in relation to citizens.

That is something we will continuously work on, strengthen and develop going forward, because only together can we solve the core task for the benefit of children and young people. Together WE are strongest, and it is important that you want to work with this as a starting point.

We offer

  • Individually tailored induction program.
  • Opportunity to perform good social work in the early and preventive field.
  • Opportunity to bring your own competencies into play and contribute to the development of the department.
  • High degree of own competence, which you are welcome to put into play.
  • An attractive case load.
  • A varied and exciting job where you can challenge yourself and your competencies.
  • Possibility of home office days ad hoc after coordination with the team and agreement with the team leader.
  • A good working climate and collegial community in the team and across both the authority and the implementer in Children & Families.
  • Managerial support and backing.
  • Professional reflection and sparring as needed.
  • External supervision.
  • Ongoing competence development.
  • A workplace that is happy to give space to you and your competencies.

About us

All citizens in Hedensted Municipality should get along well. We as a municipality must support them in this movement. For Children & Families this means that we must actively contribute to ensuring that children and young people have optimal prerequisites and safe learning environments, both at home and in our institutions. We must support their development of participation capacity and opportunities. We see this as a shared responsibility where families, local communities, and the municipality's offerings together create the movement for all children and young people.

Children & Families covers the specialized children and youth area for 0-18 years and eligible citizens with a refugee background during the first three years in Denmark. We are organizationally placed under Learning.

The core task for Learning in Hedensted Municipality is "Together we create movement, so that children and young people in committed communities develop into capable and future-ready individuals".

In Children & Families we, together with our partners, focus on engaging with children, young people and their families at an earlier stage with special needs and developing interventions for the families. We are well on our way with the implementation of the Child Law – not only in Children & Families but throughout Learning. We have just decided on a common child and youth perspective "All children and young people do as well as they can – let us together give them the opportunity".

We have a particular focus on involving the children, the young people and their families and work with cross-disciplinary and relational coordination as well as Signs of Safety – just as we develop different involvement tools depending on the child/young person's age, functional level and challenge.

We work purposefully with the systematics of case processes and have a wide range of services to involve. We are across the entire Children & Families united in the belief that we are each other’s prerequisites for succeeding in creating change for the children, the young people and their families, and must support each other in solving the tasks.
