Vestre Skole seeks a pedagogical lighthouse with a coordinating role

As of December 1, 2026 or shortly thereafter, a pedagogical professional is sought for a permanent position, 37 hours per week.

Vestre School is an old city school located in central Odense. We have about 390 pupils at the school. A very large proportion of our children attend SFO and SFO 2

We use the town and the surrounding cultural facilities as part of our everyday life.

As our new pedagogical professional, you will be the coordinator for our Spring SFO. You will be involved in the start-up phase, planning and have the daily overview. In the start-up phase you collaborate with the day-care institutions and ensure the best possible transitions for the children. When Spring SFO ends you accompany the children into the 0th grade and help ensure a strong transition to school life.

You are involved in preparing meeting plans and weekly newsletters to parents.

You will be part of assembling/hiring a good team for the Spring SFO.

You will become part of teams with skilled and engaged colleagues who every day work to give all children a good pedagogical offering, and a good start to school life at Vestre School. We are ambitious, like to try new ideas, and have an appreciative approach to the children in our pedagogical practice. We work in a structured way in everyday life, and place high value on the collaboration between the different professional groups.

As a person you must be conscientious, independent and able to work systematically. We need a colleague who has experience with peer coaching and working in a reflective team.

You must be accommodating, clear, patient and robust. And have an eye for each child's resources and development opportunities, and preferably with special- and social-pedagogical experience.

Salary and employment terms

The position is paid according to the applicable collective agreement depending on experience and qualifications. The expected salary level will be stated before any interview.
