About the job
Would you like to support children with special needs and their families – and become part of a team with both heart and humor?
Are you ready for a job where you can actually make a difference for children and their families?
In connection with the latest budget negotiations, additional funds have been allocated to the child and youth area in Rudersdal Municipality. This means that we can now strengthen our authority work with an additional permanent position in our special team. At the same time, the department is in a baby boom, and therefore we are also looking for a child advisor for a maternity leave replacement in the same team.
If you want to be part of a department with high professionalism and strong camaraderie, read on.
About the job
As a child advisor in the special team, you will be a central part of the effort for children and young people with special needs aged 0-16 years. You will work with everything from notifications, screenings and assessments to child-related investigations, and you will initiate interventions both under the Children's Act § 32 and/or disability-compensating benefits such as lost earning potential and compensation benefit.
You will follow the family throughout the process and ensure that the intervention actually makes a difference – with the aim that the child/young person and the family get the best conditions to cope well in everyday life. This also means that you will work closely with the municipality's schools, kindergartens/daycare, PPR (Educational Psychological Counseling), and the health service.
Across the department we are about 37 employees – including two department heads and a head of authority.
