We are seeking a student advisor for Vinduespudserskolen – part-time or full-time

Would you like to work with people and help them figure out whether they should take the leap and start their own business?

At Vinduespudserskolen we help people replace their current job with their own window cleaning business. Students learn the craft physically at the school in Copenhagen and receive thorough instruction in business development. Together this provides them with the foundation to build a successful window cleaning business.

We are now looking for a new colleague who will talk to the many people who contact us with an interest in the school, and help them determine whether it is the right choice for them.

Your primary tasks will be to

• Talk with potential students who have already shown interest in Vinduespudserskolen.
• Understand their current situation, background, ambitions and what they want to achieve.
• Advise them about our training program, and what it takes to start their own window cleaning business.
• Help them assess whether the school and life as self-employed is the right match for them.
• Follow up with interested students by phone, SMS and email.
• Help the right people move forward with the enrollment to the school.

You will talk with people from very different backgrounds and life situations. Some have been employees their whole lives, others already run a business, and some may be in the middle of a major life change.

For many, it is a big decision, both personally and financially. Therefore this job is not about persuading anyone to start, but about understanding their situation and giving them proper advice.

We do not necessarily admit everyone who wants to start. Our students become part of a community where we will spend many hours together, both during the training and afterward. Therefore it is important to us that we get to know people properly before they start.

You will work closely with Asger and Malte, who also handle your training. We do not expect you to know anything about window cleaning beforehand, but you should be keen to immerse yourself in our program so that you can advise prospective students on your own over time.

We expect that you

• Have experience with guidance, sales or another form of customer contact, or simply have a desire to learn it.
• Enjoy talking on the phone and are happy to take many calls during a day.
• Are good at understanding different people and their situations.
• Are good at listening, asking questions and giving honest advice, even when the school is not the right choice for the person.
• Can work physically from our office in Copenhagen.
• Can work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks.
• Thrive in a company that operates like a startup with many autonomous and engaged people.
• Feel at home with the jargon of a school with over 500 students, which can best be described as "a lot of very fresh guys".

You do not need to have many years of experience in sales or advisory. The most important thing is that you are good with people, curious and eager to learn.

Working hours and practical information

We are open to both part-time and full-time employment, but we imagine the role would suit a student who wants a flexible job alongside their studies.

Working hours are from 9 am to 6 pm on weekdays, and we are very flexible with planning. This means, for example, that you can easily work 10 hours one week and 30 hours the next, depending on how it fits with your studies or other commitments.

The work takes place physically at our office on Vestergade in Copenhagen, where you become part of the team and receive thorough training.

Salary according to qualifications with the possibility of a bonus scheme.
