About the job

We have the opportunity to expand our visitator team and are therefore seeking a versatile and professionally skilled colleague who will contribute to the continued development of the department under the theme The citizen-facing organisation .

The position is 32 hours per week, and we are seeking an employee with a relevant health professional background, for example as a nurse, an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist or another health professional education at bachelor level.

You should apply if you want to be part of an ambitious authority department with a focus on professional development and a strong collegial culture. In Adult Authority you will become colleagues with occupational therapists, social workers, administrative staff, care pathway coordinators and visitators.

You will have your professional base both in the monodisciplinary team and in an interdisciplinary collaboration, where the rehabilitative approach is the starting point, and where the interventions should enable the citizen to master their own life.

We are working to go new ways and have the will and courage to do so. The citizen is involved as the main actor in both case handling and in the interventions that are granted.

We have a strong interdisciplinary approach and actively use the opportunities our organization provides us – we therefore work in everyday life integrated across nursing, the elderly care, disability and psychiatry, the health area and assistive devices. The department must ensure one entry, a holistic assessment, one common decision and one common plan for the citizen.

Our organization is created so that we can and want to create (creative) solutions that focus on quality for the individual citizen. We are motivated by this approach and the opportunities we have – if this also applies to you, we would love to welcome you as a new colleague.

About the job Your daily work will mainly consist of case processing and the visitation of interventions under the Elderly Act (ældreloven) and the Service Act (serviceloven), just as you will help staff our Inquiries (Henvendelse). Here we receive and handle inquiries from citizens, relatives, partners and provide advice and guidance and assess the need for further case processing.

It is important that you have the desire and courage for the authority task – even when it is complex, requires coordination and you as the lead coordinator.

Your everyday life will be a wonderful mix of classic case handling (holistic care, rehabilitation, practical assistance, personal care, applications for elderly- or assisted housing, care of loved ones, etc.), advising citizens, relatives and partners, facilitating interdisciplinary citizen discussions, development work and lead roles in special areas.

Documentation and registration in Nexus is a natural part of authority work.

With the Elderly Act and holistic care, the authority role is evolving. You will contribute to facilitating and translating the Elderly Act's core values into practice with a focus on the citizen's self-determination, trust in staff and close collaboration with relatives and civil society. This happens, among other things, through close collaboration with the co-governing teams in the execution area, where you contribute with authority-related sparring and support the coherence between the citizen's needs, visitation and the holistic care provided in practice.

Knowledge of care coordination and sector transitions between hospital and municipality is an advantage, but not a prerequisite for the position.

Your profile

  • You have a relevant health professional education and preferably experience with visitation, municipal work or knowledge of sector transitions between hospital and municipality.
  • You have interest in and readiness for authority work and preferably knowledge of the Elderly Act and holistic care.
  • You have a presence that supports trust and dialogue, but at the same time you have personal assertiveness and feel comfortable in the role of facilitator/coordinator.
  • You are flexible and positive in your approach.
  • You thrive in a changing and unpredictable workday and can comfortably handle having several balls in the air.
  • You work in a structured way and do well in administrative functions, where you have solid written as well as oral skills.
  • You have good system understanding and flair for IT and documentation. Knowledge of Nexus is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • You can create solutions that are economically and professionally sustainable across the organization.
  • You can work and plan independently but naturally engage in collaboration at different levels.
  • You have a driving license and are willing to visit citizens' homes.

But – for us, personal competencies count very highly. So if you have the desire and courage for the job, we will ensure you receive solid training. There will also be the possibility of visitator training if you do not already have this.

Your new workplace Adult Authority is housed in the modern town hall in Grindsted, where we sit in an open-plan office.

You will meet an organization with high ceilings, present leadership and a strong collegial community, where an informal tone combined with good humor goes hand in hand with high professionalism and a busy daily life. We work based on Billund Municipality's values: We succeed through joint effort, we make an effort, we have a solution-minded approach, and Playful Working is our superpower.

We place a high value on professional sparring and collaboration, and interdisciplinary cooperation across departments and fields is one of our biggest strengths. We actively use each other’s competencies and work closely with the citizen and our operation units to find the best solutions.

We offer flexible work arrangement taking into account the tasks, involvement in the development of the department, possibility for home-based work and exercise in daily life. You will receive an introduction program and be teamed up with an experienced colleague.
