We are ramping up and are seeking a control officer for a strengthened effort against social fraud

We are strengthening our control efforts as part of our continued work to ensure high quality in case processing and correct administration of public benefits. The Control Group's work is an important part of the municipality's overall effort to both prevent incorrect payments and combat social fraud.

In the Employment and Youth Center we work purposefully with “early intervention,” because we know that early attention and timely action create the best results for both citizens and the municipality. Here, the control effort plays an important role. By reacting early to worrying conditions, inconsistencies and risk signals we can prevent incorrect payments, ensure correct benefit payments and support a trusting and professional administration.

As a control officer you will be part of a professionally strong team that works across the benefit areas.

About the job

Do you have the desire, drive and overview for a development-oriented professional area, and can you maintain structure and calm in a busy daily life, then the Control Group in Ringsted Municipality is the place for you.

Your tasks

• Handling of complaints/inquiries from citizens and colleagues
• Carrying out various searches in IT systems and acting on these
• Conduct conversations with citizens
• On-site control visits to businesses
• Prepare statements of objections and police reports in connection with CPR cases
• Investigate and process cases concerning residence and civil status
• Continuous development and qualification of the control task

Who are you

• It is a requirement that you have broad knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Legal Security Act,
• Administrative Act, Data Protection Act, Sick Pay Act, Active Act and CPR Act, etc.
• You have good communication skills in writing and verbally, as well as strong data discipline
• You have the ability to maintain an overview in complex cases and experience with independent and complex case processing
• You have a robust personality that can handle conflict-filled conversations with a constructive approach
• You are proactive, analytical, curious and persistent
• You have a driving license

Department

The Control Group is part of the Employment and Youth Center and is physically located in the center. The group works closely with internal employment and benefit advisors and a range of external partners, including the National Registry, Udbetaling Danmark, the Tax Agency and the police.

In Ringsted Municipality we have a strong focus on early intervention. We want to identify challenges and act on them as early as possible, and therefore we regard control work as an essential part of the overall preventive effort. The Control Group contributes to ensuring that services are paid on a correct basis, and that potential errors or irregularities are handled early and professionally for the benefit of both citizens and the community.

The Control Group is physically located in the Employment and Youth Center.

The Control Group is being scaled up to consist of 4 full-time employees.
