About the job

You will be an important part of the Dagtilbud & Skole team

With us you become part of a job where we explore how children participate in the communities they are a part of. You must be curious about how relationships, activities, organization and the actions of adults create different opportunities to contribute, belong and be a meaningful participant.

Together with the adults around the community you will help develop the frameworks, relationships and activities that open more paths to participation – for both children and adults. You contribute to directing our attention to what we can create and adjust together – and that is the task we look forward to solving together with you.

We are one team across Dagtilbud and Skole

When you become part of PPR in Dagtilbud & Skole, you join one cross-disciplinary team. Here you work with psychologists, logopedists and practice consultants across disciplines, departments and locations. You collaborate with children, families and professionals to develop the relationships and communities that shape children’s everyday lives.

We share knowledge, seek professional sparring with each other and take joint responsibility for following up on our work. Different perspectives help us understand several sides of a situation. We give space to professional disagreement and explore it together.

In Egedal we are Together on the task . This means that everyone in Dagtilbud & Skole takes responsibility for everything we do together. Management takes responsibility for priorities, workflows and the frameworks that the individual employee cannot change themselves. We speak openly about workload and agree on what should be solved first, changed or waited for.

Your task

As a psychologist you work closely with everyday life in day care and school. You contribute with a psychological perspective on the interaction between children and adults and on how relationships, activities, organization and pedagogical frameworks affect the possibilities for participation in the community.

You help investigate questions such as

  • Which participation opportunities are created by the current frameworks and organization of the community?
  • How are opportunities for initiative, influence and belonging distributed in different situations?
  • Which relationships, activities and actions from the adults strengthen the community?
  • What can you and the other adults adjust together so that more people have the opportunity for more within the community’s fluid frameworks?

You include the children’s perspectives together with the adults’ experiences and professional knowledge. You help distinguish between concrete observations, the understandings placed on the situation, and what still needs to be investigated. Together with the adults you translate the investigation into actions in the community and follow up on how they affect the opportunities for participation.

In collaboration you will meet different perspectives, professional judgments and sometimes concern or other views on the good solution. Here you must be able to keep focus on the common task and help the collaboration back to what we can investigate and act on together. You are curious about the different perspectives without losing sight of the direction: to develop the community’s frameworks and create more opportunities for participation. Together with the other adults you contribute to translating the dialogue into clear next steps, responsibility and follow-up.

What do we offer?

You will become part of a team where there are colleagues to share the task and professional reflection across Dagtilbud and Skole. You will receive a mentor for the first 3 months to help you settle into the tasks, the house and our workflows.

We prioritize your professional development and offer internal and external supervision. Supervision provides space for professional reflection and new courses of action. Prioritizing tasks and employees’ working conditions is also a management responsibility.

We work for flexible frameworks, where you have great influence on planning your workday. Homeworking and flexible working hours are agreed with regard to the tasks and the collaborations we engage in.

PPR-flokken is also a collegial community in daily life – over lunch at the town hall by Egedal Station, in the knitting club, through our annual step-counter competition or over an informal chat in the kitchen.

Who are you?

You are educated a cand.psych. and you want to use your psychology professionally close to everyday life in day care and schools.

You are curious about how participation opportunities are shaped by relationships, activities, organization and the actions of adults. You can listen, observe and ask into concrete situations and examine what happens between people and in the communities they are a part of. You can summarize others’ perspectives so they can recognize themselves in them, and you are willing to examine your own assumptions when new information emerges.

You thrive with cross-disciplinary collaboration and can translate psychological knowledge into actions that make sense in practice. You can give and receive professional feedback, stand in disagreement and contribute to clear agreements and follow-up. You have an eye for the adults’ shared responsibility to develop inclusive communities, where difference can be accommodated, and where more children have the opportunity to belong, contribute and participate in meaningful ways.

The practical

The position is 37 hours per week with start December 1, 2026 . You will be part of PPR Dagtilbud & Skole with the workplace at the town hall by Egedal Station.

If you want to know more about the tasks, collaboration and our professional direction, you are welcome to contact team leader Camilla Wegersleff Jensen at 23 11 20 28 or TR Katrine Schrøder at 72 59 65 46.
