Assistant Professor/Associate Professor at VIA University College, Nursing Education Viborg

We are seeking an assistant professor/lecturer for a permanent 37-hour position with start on 1 February 2027.

We are in the midst of an exciting development where a new nursing education program must be developed and implemented as part of the reform of the professional bachelor degree programs. Therefore we are seeking an instructor who is passionate about teaching and who also wishes to actively contribute to development, innovation and quality in the education.

You will teach and undertake tasks across our three study tracks

• Online nursing education
• Campus nursing education
• A specially tailored program for trained social and health care assistants

In addition, we offer an international semester each autumn, where you have the opportunity to work with international students.

Your primary tasks

• Development, planning and execution of teaching activities
• Guidance and examination in both the theoretical and the clinical parts of the program
• Contribute to the development and coordination of the program’s planning in collaboration with colleagues in teams
• Participate in development work related to the new education reform

Your competences and your contribution to the team

You are a trained nurse and have a relevant further education at the candidate, master's or PhD level

In addition, we emphasize that you

• have experience with teaching and supervision
• are keen to work with simulation and practice-oriented teaching
• are curious about international perspectives and intercultural competences
• work responsibly and are good at prioritizing your efforts in relation to the varied tasks and relationships that come with the teaching role
• actively contribute to the team through collegial sparring and feedback and collaborate to strengthen the team’s own leadership capacity

Employment terms

Depending on your educational background, the appointment is made in accordance with either the applicable state agreement for academics or the joint agreement for LC/CO10 and the organizational agreement for teachers at business academies and university colleges.

The appointment is covered by Executive Order no. 414 of 27 April 2025 on the position structure for teachers at higher education institutions at business academies, university colleges, Denmark's Media and Journalism College and maritime educational institutions, as well as Executive Order no. 413 of 27 April 2025 on lecturer qualification, lecturer evaluation and docent evaluation.

The position is 37 hours per week.

Your main workplace is Campus Viborg, but you should expect that there may be activities across the Region of Central Jutland.
