Evening cook wanted for Gastro Kantiner in Nordhavn – 4-day work week and weekends off

At Gastro Kantiner we are growing, and at our largest location in Nordhavn we are looking for a skilled evening cook who is passionate about good culinary craft, seasonal ingredients and gastronomic experiences beyond the ordinary.

We are looking for a colleague who has control of their craft, thrives with responsibility and wants to be an active part of developing our gastronomic concept. In return we offer an exciting full-time position with a working week spread over four days and time off every weekend.

About the job

As an evening cook you will be responsible for the evening's food production for about 50–80 guests. You will be part of a larger kitchen team where we help each other across tasks and working hours, and where quality, collaboration and professionalism are in the center.

You will have the opportunity to influence both the menu and the daily operation, and you will work closely with the day team to ensure a good coherence between the evening's service and the preparations for the next day's menu.

Your primary tasks will be

• Prepare tasty food from scratch with focus on good ingredients and culinary craftsmanship.
• Plan and carry out the evening's production for about 50–80 guests.
• Ensure preparation and setup for tomorrow's menu in collaboration with the day team.
• Contribute to meeting catering and events as needed.
• Take part of the responsibility for quality, hygiene, structure and daily operations.
• Contribute ideas and creativity to the development of our gastronomic concept.

Who are you?

We imagine that you are a trained cook or have solid experience from a professional kitchen. You have a passion for good food, you work structurally and you take pride in delivering quality – even when it is busy.

You do not necessarily need to have experience from the canteen/catering industry, but we would like you to want to be part of a kitchen where gastronomic ambitions go hand in hand with a well-functioning everyday life.

We especially value that you are independent, responsible and a good colleague who contributes positively to the community.
