About the job

Are you passionate about working with people with mental health challenges? We are expanding our team and therefore looking for two new colleagues

Do you have a health sciences or pedagogical background, and would you like to make a difference for people with complex problems? Then perhaps you are the person we are looking for as our new colleague.

We are seeking two engaged employees, who want to join a professional environment where relationships, professionalism and an appreciative approach are central elements in working with our residents. We are looking for someone who understands that we work in their home and can stay true to our values. You should want to be curious about your own actions and have the courage to ask questions when something puzzles you.

Who are we

Fonden Botilbudet Græskobbel is a social-psychiatric residential facility for adults with mental health difficulties and complex support needs. We work with residents who among other things have psychiatric diagnoses, personality disorders, substance abuse issues and court-related problems. Several of our residents require a specially tailored approach with a focus on structure, stability, care and support in daily life.

Our task is to create safe and predictable frameworks, where each resident is met with respect and recognition, and where we start from the resident's individual needs, resources and development opportunities. The work can be complex and requires both professional insight, relationship skills and the ability to handle situations characterized by distress, self-harming behavior or conflicts.

At Græskobbel we emphasize interdisciplinary collaboration, professional reflection and a common approach to the task. We work purposefully to create coherence in the efforts and to support the individual resident's well-being, development and quality of life. It requires employees who can combine professionalism with presence, clarity and a professional approach to the challenges that can arise in daily life.

We are looking for you who

Has a health sciences or pedagogical education.

Has experience with or an interest in the psychiatric field.

Has knowledge of self-harming- and outwardly reactive behavior and can meet residents in difficult situations with calm, care and professionalism.

Has experience with conflict management and can work preventively and de-escalate.

Has knowledge of KRAP (Cognitive, Resource-focused and Appreciative Pedagogy), motivational interviewing and/or I-message conversations.

Has experience with or understanding of issues related to substance abuse.

Has good IT skills and can document professional observations and interventions.

Can work independently and at the same time engage constructively in interdisciplinary collaboration.

We emphasize that you

Meet the residents with respect, curiosity and an appreciative approach.

Can maintain calm and an overview in challenging situations.

Work in a structured manner and can translate professional knowledge into practice.

Are aware of the importance of clear communication, relationship work and predictability.

Actively contribute to a good collegial community and a safe working environment.

Desire professional development and to share knowledge and experiences with your colleagues.

We offer

A workplace where professionalism and relationship work are an important part of everyday life.

Opportunity to put your health sciences or pedagogical competences to use.

An interdisciplinary work environment with a focus on collaboration and professional sparring.

Opportunity to develop your competencies within psychiatry, conflict management and working with complex resident journeys.

A daily life where you have the opportunity to make a concrete difference for people in need of support, structure and care.

If you can see yourself in the position, we look forward to hearing from you.
