About the job

Maternity leave vacancy in the dialysis – come and experience a specialty a little out of the ordinary!

We are seeking a nurse for a 12-month maternity leave vacancy at 37 hours per week in the Dialysis Department at Slagelse Hospital.

Would you like to work with a specialty where relationships, nursing, and technical skills go hand in hand? Then perhaps you are the person we are looking for!

In dialysis you will have the opportunity to work with both longer patient pathways and acute nursing care. You will become part of a specialty where no day is necessarily the same, and where professionalism, presence and collaboration are essential.

Who are we?

In the dialysis department we treat patients with chronic kidney disease who need hemodialysis several times a week. This means that we meet many of our patients again and again, and that continuity, trust, and presence are a big part of our everyday life.

But dialysis at Slagelse is more than the planned treatments. We also provide dialysis treatment to acutely admitted patients from the hospital’s other departments, including patients in the intensive care unit. This means that we also step out of our usual boundaries and provide nursing care to patients with complex and acute problems.

You will therefore have the opportunity to work with both long-term patient relationships and more acute nursing care, where professional assessment, flexibility, and interdisciplinary collaboration play an important role.

We are an engaged staff group that values professionalism, collaboration, and a good working environment. We help each other, share our knowledge, and believe that we become better together.

What can we offer you?

  • A thorough introduction and training, where you are well prepared for the specialty.
  • An exciting specialty with both planned and acute patient pathways.
  • Opportunity to develop your nursing and technical skills.
  • Tight and longer-lasting patient relationships.
  • Experience with complex nursing care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Good colleagues who help each other and prioritize community.
  • Opportunity for professional development and influence on your own learning.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

  • Are a trained nurse.
  • Want to work with people where relationship and continuity matter a lot.
  • Are curious and eager to learn new things.
  • Thrive with both independent tasks and close collaboration with colleagues.
  • Like a daily life where tasks can vary between planned treatments and more acute patient pathways.
  • Contribute positively to the community and the good everyday life.

Experience with dialysis is an advantage, but not essential. We ensure thorough introduction and training in the specialty.

Practical information

  • The position is a 12-month maternity leave vacancy.
  • 37 hours per week.

Come and meet us!

You are very welcome to contact us to hear more about the position. We also happily welcome you for a cup of coffee and a tour, so you can get a feel for who we are and what a day in dialysis looks like.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Best regards

Carina Hansen
