About the job

Are you a trained pedagogical assistant (PAU) or unskilled with relevant experience from the social sector? And do you thrive at creating safety and care at night? Then you might be the one we are looking for for our night team at Musvågevej in Copenhagen NV.

Here you will be part of a strong collegial community around adults with developmental disabilities, multiple functional impairments and diagnoses within the autism spectrum.

Who are we?

Musvågevej is a residence and day care for adults with developmental disabilities, multiple functional impairments and diagnoses within the autism spectrum. Here live 50 adults across seven units.

We are about 150 employees with different professional backgrounds, who every day work to create a safe and content-rich everyday life for the citizens. You will be part of a night team of four colleagues with both health and pedagogical backgrounds. Together you cover the seven units and help each other across.

Your task – to create safety at night

As night shift your most important task is to create calm, safety and care for the residents. several of our residents may have difficulty settling down or returning to sleep if they wake at night. Here you meet them with presence, patience and an acknowledging approach.

You supervise, assist with personal care, including diaper changes and dressing and undressing, support at meals and intake of food and drinks. You also help residents with stoma and stand ready during epileptic seizures. Medication management is also part of the tasks.

You will naturally be thoroughly trained in the health care tasks, so you feel safe and secure in handling them. Observation and documentation are also part of your work.

We are looking for you who

  • are educated as a pedagogical assistant (PAU) or have relevant experience from the social sector. It is an advantage if you have experience with autism, developmental disabilities or complex functional impairments and want to work with people in the field of disability
  • meet citizens with presence, patience and curiosity and have an eye for their individual needs and well-being. At the same time you take responsibility, work independently and actively contribute to good collaboration with your colleagues
  • are careful with your documentation and see it as a natural part of the professional work

What can we offer you?

You will become part of a workplace with engaged colleagues, a strong cross-disciplinary community and focus on the citizens' well-being and quality of life. We provide thorough training in both pedagogical and health care tasks so you are well prepared for the job.

Additionally we offer

  • internal courses in pedagogical and autism-specific methods, e.g. LA2
  • opportunity for continuing education within autism pedagogy and other relevant fields
  • professional sparring and a good collegial community
  • free parking
