Maternity leave substitute for the kindergarten at Engsøens Børnehus

Are you an experienced pedagogue or PAU who wants to help create good child communities?

Engsøens Børnehus is seeking an experienced pedagogue or pedagogical assistant for a maternity leave cover in our kindergarten. We are looking for someone who can stand confidently in the pedagogical task, take responsibility for daily life and at the same time be curious about their own practice.

When structure creates space for play

With us, everyday life is characterized by play, presence and community, but also by structure and deliberate pedagogical planning. In the kindergarten we work in a structured way and organize ourselves in smaller groups, because we experience that it provides good opportunities for presence, immersion and participation. We plan our play and activities based on the children0s perspectives and interests, which means that we as adults are curious about what occupies the children and how we can create learning environments where several children have the opportunity to participate.

We believe that play is an important part of children0s development, well-being and communities. Therefore you must enjoy being on the floor, on the playground, in the forest and in the small moments when a child needs an adult to notice exactly what is important right now. But you must also be able to step back and ask What are we really doing – and why? Who gets space? Who stands on the edge? What are the children telling us?

You will become an important part of a community

As a new colleague you will be part of a team where we work closely together about the children and everyday life. We believe that we succeed together, and therefore we help each other, share our perspectives and dare to ask when something is difficult. We also place great emphasis on parent collaboration. Parents should experience that their child is seen, understood and met by adults they can trust. Therefore we need a colleague who communicates clearly and respectfully, who is good at building relationships and who sees the parents as important partners around their child.

We are looking for you, who

Notices that a child stands a little on the edge of the play and needs to find a way in. You who can be clear and caring. You who can hold fast to the pedagogical intention, while being able to change the plan because the group of children needed something else. You who perhaps have a good idea that the others haven0t thought of yet. And perhaps you can take your professional knowledge seriously without always taking yourself too seriously.

You don0t need to come with all the answers. But we hope you bring experience, professional curiosity and a desire to make a difference together with us.

About Engsøens Børnehus

Engsøens Børnehus is located in Lunderskov and is a large day institution with both a nursery and a kindergarten spread over two sites. We have some very special outdoor areas which we use actively as part of the children0s everyday life, and a staff group with many different competencies and perspectives.
