The Regnbuen Daycare is a large, nice new facility in Glostrup. At the moment the institution houses 4 nursery groups, 4 kindergarten groups and a base offering that is being expanded to two groups. We are in full swing to upsize both in the nursery and the kindergarten, and therefore we are looking for new pedagogue colleagues for both departments who have ambitions on behalf of the children.

We work in small teams consisting of two rooms together. In the kindergarten, each team consists of 4 fixed adults on each room plus a floating staff member. In the nursery, each team consists of 3 fixed adults on the room plus a floating staff member. We notice a positive impact for the children with more fixed adults around them, and a working environment characterized by calm and presence, low sickness absence and a warm atmosphere.

We work from the new view of children, where we believe that children do their best and respond to the environments they are in. Therefore we also look at the children’s behavior as a way in which the children tell us something about the learning environments we offer the children. The adults have a responsibility to adjust the learning environments and our practice if the children show us a need for it.

We make an effort to meet each child with warmth and recognition, and to guide the children toward what we want to see, rather than naming the unwanted. In Regnbuen we are skilled at starting from the individual child’s needs and the current group of children and offering learning environments, play and activities from there.

We work daily in smaller groups, which our physical surroundings support with, among other things, a large room with two adjacent memory rooms on all rooms, a tumble hall and a creative workshop. At the moment we are focused on making our play zones razor-sharp so they invite play, curiosity and exploration for the children. In addition we have recently started working on adult organization, adult positions and learning environments and pedagogy on the playground, as well as mealtime pedagogy.

We work from a resource-oriented approach to children and parents, and we repeatedly bring the child perspective to the forefront as a guide for our pedagogical work. We focus on care and present adults, taking the pace out of everyday life, and creating time for immersion, play and to go on adventures together with the children.

In Regnbuen we are professionally brave, we dare to wonder, be curious and critical of our own and each other’s practice. We use, among other things, TOPI, ICDP, LØFT and the language ladder as part of our working methods.

We have a strong focus on creating a daycare with high quality in everyday life, which also means that we have an expectation of each other to stay updated on professional knowledge, and that there is continual reflection and sparring in smaller or larger groups regarding professional articles, chapters, themes or podcasts, where we actively decide how we want to work with it in our children’s house.

You don’t need to know it all, but you should be able to do the most important!

Your way of being as a person and your view of children is the most important to us, therefore we welcome applications from both newly graduates as well as experienced applicants. You should be able to see and utilize the children’s competencies, take the children’s perspective as a starting point, give presence to the children and be strong in building relationships.
