About the job

The Family Office Bifrost recruits contact persons for children and young people with serious life challenges, where adult contact is offered as a supplement to the support the family themselves can provide.

As a contact person you help support the child's well-being, security and emotional development. The target group ranges from children and youths with mental functional impairment such as ADHD and autism to social and emotional challenges.

You will work according to an action plan, in which pedagogical goals are stated, and a status is produced every six months.

When hiring contact persons we place emphasis on experience working within the social- and special pedagogical field and experience in establishing relationships with children and/or youths – whether from work or leisure.

We expect that you are

• strong in relationship work
• good at dialogue – both listening and speaking – and not afraid to articulate what is difficult in an acknowledging way
• broad-minded and patient, yet persistent
• responsible and flexible in task solving and keeps promises with the child/youth
• willing to cooperate with a counsellor, which entails working with sub-goals and tasks that appear in the action plan – and shows responsibility regarding contact with the counsellor if changes occur in the agreements between follow-up meetings
• acknowledging towards other cultures

The counsellor at the Family Department supports and guides the contact person in the concrete task and regularly calls for follow-up meetings.

Hours: The tasks vary in both weekly hours and geographical location (Vejle Municipality). Working hours are typically in the afternoon, evening or on weekends, which can easily be combined with studies and other work. You are employed on a contract for the individual task, typically 2-6 hours/week.

It can be an advantage if you have a driving license and a car.
