Would you like to help coordinate fault correction and maintenance on ERTMS deployed sections?

We are seeking two Infrastructure Coordinators (IFK), with duty station at Traffic Tower East.

As an Infrastructure Coordinator you have the overall responsibility to coordinate urgent fault rectification and planned maintenance work, from a traffic perspective.

Fault Rectification Coordination

It will be your responsibility to coordinate daily maintenance tasks and fault rectification on ERTMS rollout sections in Eastern Denmark. Your task is to identify and determine the priority of different faults based on an existing forecast and then initiate appropriate fixes that take traffic into account. In close collaboration with Banedanmark's other departments and our external suppliers, including the signalling system supplier Alstom, to ensure the optimal course for fault rectification.

You must also ensure coordination of the necessary resources, which will be shared with other control areas. It is also your responsibility to ensure that the individual tasks are carried out with regard to timetables, procedures, instructions and processes.

The individual fault types span broadly and include, for example: faults in the signalling system, track and points faults, trimming of trees and vegetation, as well as winter readiness.

Big Overview and Collaboration

As an Infrastructure Coordinator it is important that you are able to communicate and coordinate with many different partners about the individual task. For example, traffic controllers provide input from operations and require forecasts. The fault fixers need a precise task description to resolve the fault quickly and optimally. Finally, the deployment manager and Operations Center Denmark also need forecasts to be able to adjust operations in collaboration with the railway companies.

Therefore it is important that you are proactive and seek out the necessary information, just as you on your own initiative shall forward important information to relevant collaborators. You must be solution-oriented and see opportunities from your wide overview. In addition you must ensure that all incidents are documented and recorded in the incident system, and continually updated with relevant information and time estimates.

You will join a team of a total of 8 permanent infrastructure coordinators. It is therefore expected that you can make your own decisions on a shift, while also being able to be part of a team where there can be an open and constructive dialogue. You will significantly contribute to the development of future tasks for the function and collaboration in the team.

Your qualifications

As a person you have good analytical abilities that give you the capacity to quickly identify fault types and assess their traffic implications together with the traffic controller. Since you are in contact with suppliers, contractors and traffic controllers as well as other partners it is important that you have strong communication skills.

In addition you are open and engaged in developing the collaboration between the supplier's Service Desk and Banedanmark. Last but not least you thrive in a daily life with varied challenges, where two fault rectifications are not the same and you are motivated to coordinate fault rectification so that trains run on time.

Your working hours will be at all times of the day in a three-shift system.

Salary and employment terms

The appointment is covered by the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employers' Organizations and the Agreement between Banedanmark and HK Stat for traffic employees.

The position is generally placed in salary group 3, corresponding to a base salary excluding pension of 36,829.55 DKK per month according to the applicable collective agreement, which you can find here .

Depending on your qualifications and competences there is a possibility for negotiation of allowances. There will be an employer-funded pension scheme of 16% attached to the total salary.
