About the job

Deputy Manager for Team Skelager, Care and Rehabilitation, District North, Aarhus Municipality

Do you want to help strengthen the professional and staff leadership in Care and Rehabilitation in Aarhus Municipality? Are you passionate about supporting home-dwelling citizens to live as independent and meaningful a life as possible? Are you motivated by supporting good and well-functioning collaboration with citizens and relatives - and by citizens experiencing coherent and well-coordinated pathways?

Then you may be our new deputy manager in Team Skelager.

You will work from our shared strategy; the five guiding threads to a better life . In collaboration with the team leader you will help ensure that these are translated into concrete practice.

In Team Skelager we are looking for an ambitious and relationally strong deputy manager with operational responsibility as a competence-developing therapist. You must be able to stand at the crossroads of leadership, rehabilitation, professional development and operations.

We are seeking a therapist-leader who can build support around the professional direction, strengthen the quality of citizen pathways and translate visions into practice. You must be able to be close to the staff in everyday life, support learning and development across professional groups and at the same time be an important sparring partner for the manager regarding operations, economy and organizational development.

With us you get the opportunity to make a real difference for both citizens and employees in a time when whole-person care, rehabilitation and interdisciplinary collaboration matter more than ever before.

About the position

As deputy manager and competence-developing therapist you will be part of the local management in Team Skelager and work closely with the team leader to create direction, quality and coherence in daily life.

You will have a central role in supporting colleagues' professional development and ensuring that citizens experience high quality and coherent pathways.

In particular you will focus on

  • Rehabilitation as a natural part of all citizen pathways.
  • Complex and socially complex citizen pathways.
  • Interdisciplinary coordination and collaboration.
  • Development of staff competencies through leadership by example in practice.
  • Implementation of new professional initiatives and working methods.
  • Quality, learning and professional reflection.
  • Support for a strong culture characterized by collaboration, accountability and development.

About Care and Rehabilitation

The task in Care and Rehabilitation is to provide care and practical assistance, nursing and training to home-dwelling citizens and to create good, coherent citizen pathways based on what is important to the citizen.

We emphasize good dialogue, a strong culture and good relationships – as well as rehabilitation and care, professional development and ongoing systematic quality development of both the professional, the organizational and the citizen-experienced quality.

Important initiatives in Care and Rehabilitation include citizen education, welfare technology and close cooperation with the citizen’s family and network – and ensuring that the right competencies are present in each citizen pathway.

Why choose us

In Team Skelager we believe that high quality for citizens is created through strong relationships, high professionalism and clear leadership.

You will become part of a dedicated interdisciplinary team consisting of social and health helpers, social and health care assistants, nurses, therapists and other key roles. We work purposefully with rehabilitation, learning and development, and we invest in staff competencies because we know this creates better citizen pathways.

As deputy manager you will have the opportunity to influence both daily operations and the team’s long-term development. You will have responsibility, influence and close cooperation with a manager who seeks sparring, joint reflection and strong leadership partnership.

We emphasize that you as a future deputy manager in Team Skelager

  • Are an authorized physiotherapist or occupational therapist.
  • Have leadership potential or already have leadership experience.
  • Are motivated by developing people and professional standards.
  • Have strong relational skills and actively use relationships as a leadership tool.
  • Can create followership through presence, dialogue and clear direction.
  • Have a view to both the individual employee and the community.
  • Can navigate complex citizen pathways and create solutions across professional disciplines.
  • Understand the importance of the connection between quality, operations and economy.
