Educator for functional class and SFO (maternity leave cover)

We are seeking a qualified pedagogue for 32 hours per week for a parental leave substitute for our functional class as well as the attached after-school program (SFO). The position involves working with the students in the functional class and participating in the SFO in close and committed collaboration with the school’s other staff.

You will become an important part of a team around children with special needs, where wellbeing, structure, relationship work and development are in focus. The work takes place during school hours around students in the functional class and during SFO time, where you help create safe and meaningful communities.

We focus on close and constructive cooperation with parents and see parents as an important partner in the child’s development and wellbeing. At the same time, we are curious about the children’s successes and work from a resource-oriented view of childhood, where we notice what works and build on it.

We work with practice opportunities in the regular environment, so the children have a chance to develop participation opportunities in communities across settings. It requires close collaboration between the functional class, the general area, SFO and the home, and we therefore emphasise strong and trusting collaboration in everyday life.

Practical information

The position is 32 hours per week with start 1 January 2027. The position is temporary for the duration of the maternity leave.

Salary and employment terms are according to the applicable collective agreement.

In Svendborg Municipality, the salary for this type of position typically lies between 39,341 and 50,954 DKK per month at full-time employment. The salary includes pension, special holiday allowance and fixed allowances. There may also be time-based allowances and other special remunerations. It is important to note that your specific salary is determined by your experience, seniority and competencies and is negotiated with the relevant professional organization.
