Experienced pedagogical leader for Elmedalen in Allerød

Are you our new Lighthouse and Caravan Leader for our lovely integrated institution. Our cluster is located in the middle of an active, growing local community. More families with children are choosing our local area, and we are therefore experiencing an increasing influx of children. On this basis, we have been given the opportunity to hire one more leader. We are excited, and perhaps it is you we are looking for! Start date January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

We are looking for someone who can balance the role of both lighthouse and caravan leader. You must be able to set clear direction and stand firm on shared values, while at the same time staying close to practice and creating followership. You will become part of a management team that focuses on collaboration, joint development and a continued curiosity about how we create the best conditions for children, families and staff.

Therefore we are seeking a leader who is curious about practice, strong in relationships and focused on translating professional knowledge into meaningful pedagogy in everyday life.

About the position

As an educational leader at Elmedalen, you will be responsible for the daily pedagogical and personnel leadership as well as ongoing operational tasks. You want to be a visible leader close to practice, support staff professional reflections and support good parent collaboration.

As part of our leadership community we work with duo leadership. At your start you will therefore enter into close collaboration with your leadership partner and gain a close sparring partner in daily life. You will also become part of a leadership team consisting of a cluster leader and three pedagogical leader colleagues, where sparring, joint reflection, overall task distribution and collaboration are a natural part of daily life.

You are passionate about pedagogical leadership, and you know what children, staff, parents and colleagues can gain from your professional practice. You have a clear professional stance and are at the same time able to be exploratory, curious and learning together with others.

You are focused on how safe relationships, interaction and community create development opportunities for both children and adults. You see the diverse competencies of staff as a strength and are able to create frameworks where professional reflection and development become a natural part of everyday life.

About Elmedalen and the Lynge Cluster

In the Lynge Cluster we believe that leadership only gains value when it can be felt in the daily life of children. A leader who can create direction without having all the answers in advance. And who together with staff, children and parents is focused on creating the strongest participation opportunities for all children.

Elmedalen is part of the Lynge Cluster, characterized by a strong work community, engaged staff and close cooperation with parents. You will also become part of a close and active local community with strong communities, engaged families and good opportunities to create coherence in the children’s daily life and the good childhood in Lynge.

The Lynge Cluster is part of Allerød Municipality’s day care area and works with the foundation of the municipality’s Children and Youth policy Lifelong capable children in playful learning . , where there is a clear common direction for play, learning and well-being for all children. With us, play is not just an activity – it is a fundamental approach to children's development and well-being.

Our institutions offer clear within-organization child and staff communities with a maximum of 4 child groups per building. We have large outdoor playgrounds in all buildings with secret hiding places, large trees, fire pits and plenty of space for both small and large communities. All departments have cargo bikes so we can take trips in the local area, and we have bus passes for the big adventures so children also get experiences in the bigger world.

The cluster currently consists of 1 cluster leader, 3 pedagogical leaders, about 90 engaged staff and about 250 fantastic children and their engaged parents. We are currently spread across five sites. We have a broadly composed workforce. We are focused on developing ourselves as an organization so that in the future we can also create the best conditions for children's well-being, development and learning and be an attractive workplace.

As a leader at Elmedalen you enter a 4-group 0-6 year old kindergarten with engaged staff who look forward, together with the upcoming pedagogical leader, to further developing the pedagogical practice. The house works professionally and creatively with the year's themes and it is highly prioritized to utilize the local environment’s many opportunities.

Staff and parents look forward very much to welcoming a new pedagogical leader who will have the framework to dive into the role as the nearest leader for Elmedalen. Our skilled pedagogical leader Mie has for several years led 2 of our kindergartens at separate sites, of which Elmedalen has been one. She also looks forward very much to a forthcoming collaboration with a new leadership colleague.

Employment terms

We dream that you can start the position as pedagogical leader on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. The institutions' opening hours are Monday–Thursday 06:45–17:00 and Friday 07:00–16:00, and there will be evening meetings periodically throughout the year.
