About the job

ERP Responsible – TRECO

As a manufacturing company grows, the link between business processes, data and systems becomes increasingly important. That is exactly the development TRECO is in the middle of.

With increased activity and complexity across four production units, there is a need to strengthen how ERP supports the business. This applies to production planning, purchasing, warehousing and material flow, but also the alignment between the organization’s other processes and systems.

Business Central is already the central platform, but there is still significant potential to strengthen system support, create more integrated workflows and exploit the opportunities of digitalization.

Therefore TRECO is seeking an ERP Responsible who both has strong system understanding, insight into business processes and the ability to translate improvement opportunities into solutions that work in practice.

You will have internal ownership of the ERP platform and a central role in ensuring that systems, data and workflows hang together and support the company’s continued development.

What you will own

You will be responsible for the coherence between ERP and the business’s daily processes.

A substantial part of the task is to strengthen ERP use in production—from the production base and bills of materials to planning, scheduling, procurement, warehousing and actual production.

But the role is broader. You must be able to look across the organization, understand how processes and systems affect each other and identify opportunities to work more efficiently, consistently and data-driven.

When data does not add up, a workflow ends in Excel, or the system does not support the business needs, it is you who, together with the organization, finds the cause and drives the solution.

You will also take ownership of how Business Central is used and further developed across TRECO.

The goal is not more systems or more administration. The goal is to create a strong ERP foundation that the organization can rely on and that supports both daily operations and the continued development of the company.

You will have, among other things, the responsibility for

  • Ensuring stable operation, maintenance and further development of Business Central.
  • Drive improvements within ERP, master data, digitalization and business processes.
  • Strengthen the coherence between production, planning, supply chain, purchasing, warehousing and other ERP-supported functions.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize, optimize and automate workflows across the organization.
  • Translate business needs into concrete system solutions and improvements.
  • Build and develop power users as well as strengthen ERP competencies in the organization.
  • Lead and develop the ERP Specialist.
  • Prioritize development activities and manage collaboration with external ERP partners and consultants.

You will become a central sparring partner for both management and the organization when existing workflows must be challenged and new solutions must be developed.

Who we imagine

You do not need to come from a classical IT career. In fact, it isn’t necessarily there that we will find the right profile.

You may have worked as an ERP Specialist, ERP Manager, Business Consultant or with production, PTA, production planning or supply chain, where you gradually have taken on greater responsibility for ERP and business processes.

What matters is that you understand the connection between systems and business, and that you can translate that understanding into concrete improvements.

You have a sense of how ERP affects the whole organization, but you are also practically oriented and interested in understanding how things actually work.

It is necessary that you

  • Have solid experience with the use, development or implementation of ERP systems, preferably from a production company.
  • Have a good understanding of business processes and the relationship between, for example, production, supply chain, purchasing and finance.
  • Can analyze workflows and translate business needs into concrete system improvements.
  • Have experience with process optimization, standardization or digitalization.
  • Can create momentum and get different parts of the organization on board with new processes and ways of working.
  • Thrive with both operating work and contributing to longer-term development.
  • It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you:
  • Have experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV.
  • Have worked with production planning, bills of materials/BOM, scheduling or material flow.
  • Have experience with master data, data discipline and integrations between different systems.
  • Have worked with user training and building a super user organization.
  • Have held professional responsibility or people management responsibility.

We place more weight on your experience, business understanding and ability to achieve results than on your educational background or previous job title.

The difficult and the good

The difficult: When a production company grows, processes and system support must keep pace.

You enter an organization where not all processes are fully standardized, and where manual workflows and different ways of solving tasks still exist.

You must be able to see the connections, prioritize the right improvements and create solutions that work in everyday life and support long-term development.

It requires you to work independently, challenge existing workflows and at the same time build support among the people who will use the solutions.

The good: You get a real opportunity to shape how TRECO will work with ERP and digital business processes going forward.

You will have both operational responsibility and the opportunity to influence the further development of the company’s system support.

You will be close to the business and can follow the effects of your improvements—from better production planning and more valid data to simpler workflows and stronger coherence across the organization.

When something improves, you can see it directly in operations.
