Solution Architect for Banedanmark's Network Services

Would you like to help operate and further develop the digitisation of Banedanmark?

As Solution Architect you will be a key person in the operation and further development of Banedanmark's digital infrastructure that supports our society-critical systems.

You will become part of Network Services in the section OT Operations under IT & Digital Transformation. The team consists of specialists with strong system technical competencies and responsibility for the infrastructure behind Banedanmark's digital solutions.

Network operations are outsourced, and you will therefore have great contact with both external partners and other internal departments. The team's areas include nationwide fiber network, radio- and telecom networks, IP solutions mv. – all vital components of Banedanmark's critical infrastructure.

Your role in the first instance will be to manage the nationwide fiber networks, including coordinating urgent and preventive cable incidents. With a data-driven approach you will work with monitoring, analysis and ongoing improvements of the infrastructure to ensure high stability, availability and robustness in operations.

Your primary tasks and area of responsibility include

As Solution Architect in Network Services you have a central role in ensuring stable operations, technical quality and ongoing development of Banedanmark's network infrastructure. You function as the technical lead and sparring partner across suppliers, projects and the operations organization, including:

• Responsibility for operation of facilities, transition of new facilities, review of technical installations and condition of facilities
• Review and approval of solution designs and documentation, as well as specifying requirements and sparring with suppliers regarding interfaces to other systems
• Specify requirements and ensure that business needs are translated into technical solutions in accordance with contracts and guidelines, as well as contribute to improvement wishes and system optimization and establish and maintain system documentation when changes are implemented
• Ensuring that the documentation is in place and that the solution's technical quality and maintainability and further development are preserved when change requests go through Banedanmark's change management process
• Cross-functional clarification of challenges and risks so that we comply with the IT security requirements and railway safety regulations at all times.

Your background

You have an IT education or other technical background combined with experience from operations organizations focusing on infrastructure. You contribute with solid technical insight and new knowledge about modern technologies and solutions. You are familiar with ITIL, ISO27000, NIS2 and preferably GIS systems including Smallworld.

You thrive in a dynamic environment with periods of high tempo and naturally take initiative in cross-disciplinary collaborations. At the same time you help develop and define the frameworks that ensure stable and efficient operations.

Your workplace will be either Carsten Niebuhrs Gade 43 in Copenhagen or Godsbanevej 2 in Ringsted. The working language is Danish, but since we collaborate with international suppliers, you must be able to communicate professionally in English.

Salary

If you are an academic, you are employed under the current collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state.

You will be placed based on academic seniority and experience as an assistant on the base level according to the applicable collective agreement, which you find here and the Employee and Competence Agency's salary overview, which you find here .

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is a possibility for negotiating allowances. There will be an employer-funded pension scheme of 18.07%.

Otherwise you are employed under the current Common Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organization – The State Sector (OAO-S common agreement) and the IT employees' organization agreement (KODEX).

The position is as a starting point placed in salary group 4 according to the current collective agreement, which you find here and the Employee and Competence Agency's salary overview, which you find here .

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is a possibility for negotiating allowances. There will be an employer-funded pension scheme of 16% attached to the total salary.
