About the job

Are you passionate about making a difference for young people, and are you motivated to put your professional expertise to use close to the youths and in the space between pedagogy and social work?

At Fårupgård Youth Center we are looking for a professionally strong and structured social worker who can help create coherence around each young person's placement.

You will play a central role in the collaboration between the young person, our departments and the placing municipalities. You will help ensure that plans, agreements, documentation and authority requirements are aligned with the treatment and daily life we create for the young person.

About the job

At Fårupgård, youths live with complex social, psychiatric and behavioral problems. Some youths also have challenges related to crime and substances. What they have in common is the need for a coherent and individually tailored effort where relationships, treatment, school, authorities and networks must work together. As a social worker you will be an important part of this work.

You will take on a coordinating and supportive role around the youths’ placement processes, and you will as a rule be Fårupgård’s primary contact with the authorities. You need to create an overview of the official relationships around each youth and support a close and professional collaboration with the placing municipality. The work is carried out in close cooperation with department heads, pedagogical staff, the other social worker and Fårupgård’s other professionals.

An important part of your work will be to follow up on the child’s plan, youth plans, contact decisions and other agreements and decisions regarding the youth. You will also be an important contributor to work with status descriptions, social-work assessments and documentation, where you coordinate processes, ensure quality and support employees’ written work. An important part of this work will be to support a process in which the youth is heard and involved in their own case. The youth must feel that they are the central focus of their own case.

Part of your work will also consist of handling reporting of use of force, intake of new youths and admission and discharge processes. In addition you will provide social-work and legal sparring to both staff and management and contribute to teaching and professional development in areas such as documentation, status descriptions and relevant legislation. It requires that you can navigate confidently in legislation and authority requirements, but also that you can convey the complex in a way that makes sense for both youths and colleagues.

Who are you?

You are a trained social worker with a solid social-work foundation. We would like you to have experience from the authority area, the 24-hour care sector or work with vulnerable children and youths.

You have a good knowledge of the law in the children and youth field and are focused on converting rules and authority requirements into practice that supports work with the youths. You are strong in writing, work systematically with documentation and can maintain an overview in a daily life where tasks and priorities sometimes change.

You should also be able to engage professionally in many different collaborative relationships. You must be able to stand clearly in your own social-work professionalism while being curious about other professions. We place emphasis on you taking responsibility, following through on your tasks and being willing to share your knowledge through sparring, guidance and teaching.

And you must have a driving license.
