About the job

Do you want to use your nursing expertise close to people with complex needs and help strengthen everyday health professional practice? At Bøgeallé 14 we are seeking a nurse who wants to combine citizen-centered nursing with professional sparring, teaching and development.

The position is without weekend shifts. You will work some hours in the morning shift each week and in the evening shift a couple of times a month. This will give you insight into the citizens' everyday life and the opportunity to support colleagues' practice across shifts.

An home with space for the individual

Bøgeallé 14 is part of Udviklingscenter Vest and is located in the Ribelund area in Ribe. Here live 18 adults with permanent, multiple disabilities and complex health-related challenges. We base our work on the individual person's needs, wishes and potentials – including the small signs of development that can make a big difference in everyday life.

We work with presence, recognizable structure and supportive communication. Our pedagogical work is based on a neuro-pedagogical approach, KRAP and individual goals. As a nurse you will become an important collaborative partner for the pedagogical and health professionals, so care and support are coherent for the individual.

The house is laid out on one level with two ward sections, bright common rooms, a snoezel room and a spar room. All residents have their own apartment with a bathroom, kitchenette and ceiling lift. We use the surrounding nature daily for walking and cycling trips. The service is staffed around the clock with fixed night staff.

Your tasks

  • You are involved in creating an overview, ensuring continuity and developing the health-related quality. Your tasks include among other things to:
  • Provide citizen-centered nursing and contribute to observation, assessment and follow-up of citizens' health status.
  • Teach and share knowledge at staff meetings for both permanent staff and temporary workers, for example about hand hygiene, medication management, basic hygiene and health-related documentation.
  • Contribute to introducing a new method of syringe medication administration to residents with a feeding tube, in collaboration with relevant health professionals and based on current instructions.
  • Develop, update and implement local health-related instructions and instructions tailored to the individual resident.
  • Take care of complex medication dispensing, including dispensing high-risk medications, and support safe medication management in the house.
  • Maintain an overview of residents' health-related agreements, coordinate contact with the health sector and ensure follow-up.
  • Provide professional sparring and support colleagues in translating health-related knowledge and instructions into practice.
  • Be a super-user in relevant professional systems, including Cura, and support colleagues' use of the systems through guidance, training and knowledge sharing.

We are looking for you who

  • Are a licensed nurse and want to work with adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Work systematically and independently and can maintain an overview in complex health-related processes.
  • Meet citizens, relatives and colleagues with respect and an appreciative approach.
  • Want to teach and can convey professional knowledge so that it is usable in everyday life.
  • Value interprofessional collaboration highly and contribute with your professional knowledge and reflection on your own practice.
  • Experience with the target group, tube feeding and complex medication processes is an advantage. The same applies to knowledge of Cura and KRAP.

What we offer

You will have the opportunity to influence health professional practice in a workplace where we prioritize influence and work in a holistic manner. You will become part of a staff group with broad knowledge of the citizens' support needs and close cross-professional collaboration. We offer professional sparring and ongoing competence development through courses and continuing education.

As part of Udviklingscenter Vest you will also become part of a larger organization where we meet each other with trust and collaborate to create quality of life for the people we support.

Working hours and employment

The position is initially 37 hours per week, but another number of hours can be agreed. The position is without weekend shifts, with some hours in the morning shift every week and shifts in the evening shift a couple of times a month. The concrete work organization will be agreed upon.

Start date: 1 January 2027.
