Are you trained as a pedagogue and family therapist? And do you have the experience and desire to manage treatment programs for families with children who have cognitive impairments? Perhaps you are our new colleague at Leute for our team of family therapists?

We are currently experiencing strong demand from municipalities that have a need for family treatment.

Your profile

You are a self-driven and robust family therapist with expertise grounded in equal parts practical experience and theoretical understanding within special pedagogy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and environmental therapy. Your toolbox is filled with pedagogical methods and tools that you use to strengthen both parents' competencies and the parent-child relationship.

You help parents identify their resources. You can supplement with both collaborative and individual exercises as needed in the programs, and you are comfortable in the role of an impartial mediator.

You work holistically, and therefore it is natural for you to be the link to the child’s other contact surfaces such as the school when needed. You work from a solution-focused approach, where you are able to create safe and calm surroundings around you. Good written skills when documenting your observations are important, and you understand the family’s specific challenges as well as the action plan goals that you are familiar with.

Our programs

We have as a starting point standard programs, which of course are also adapted individually to the needs of the individual family.

About you

·       Is educated as a pedagogue and a certified family therapist and preferably with a cognitive psychotherapy background

·       Has experience with autism and ADHD diagnoses and preferably other cognitive and mental functional impairments

·       Is independent, calm and robust

·       Creates structure for the family

·       Is empathetic and accommodating

·       Works according to the action plan goals

·       Creates active involvement of the parents in relation to training in boundary setting and structure with respect to the child

·       Regulates behavior in interaction with the child’s and parents’ social environment

·       Collaborates across disciplines with, for example, school and institutions as needed

·       Is flexible regarding when family treatment takes place

·       Produces precise written journal notes focusing on the observational part
