Female on-call substitute as a disability helper is sought in Ringsted.

My name is Caroline, I am 20 years old and I live in my own house in Ringsted.

I have cerebral palsy (CP), which affects me motorically, but not mentally. I speak fluently and can tell you myself what I need. I use an electric wheelchair and need help with most things in daily life, including personal care, dressing, meals, practical tasks and companionship.

I am seeking a female on-call substitute for my helper arrangement. This is not a matter of fixed shifts or a fixed number of shifts per month. As an on-call substitute you will be contacted as needed, for example in case of illness, vacation or other absence among my regular helpers. The shifts can be longer (06:30–06:30 on weekdays and 09:00–09:00 on weekends).

On a day-to-day basis I attend HF. Therefore, part of the helper role will also consist of supporting me in connection with schoolwork. This includes, among other things, taking notes in class and reading texts aloud for me. Therefore it is a requirement that you can read and write Danish confidently and at a high level.

It is an advantage if you have completed a gymnasium education, but it is not a requirement. It is also an advantage if you have basic IT skills and are comfortable using a laptop daily, but this is also not a requirement.

As my helper you will also function as an escort when, for example, I need to go out with friends, shop or visit family. I have a disability car available, so it is required that you have a category B driving license.

Experience is an advantage but not a requirement, as you will receive thorough training. The most important thing is that you are engaged, responsible and eager to make a positive difference in my everyday life.

Since I am a young woman, it is important for me to have my own space. Therefore there will be times when you can step back a little as long as you remain available.
