General Manager for Social-Pedagogical Center West

Exciting daily manager position in a multidisciplinary and values-based environment

We offer a challenging and developing daily manager position in a dynamic, multidisciplinary work environment, where collaboration, professionalism and the relationships between staff, management, residents and relatives are at the center.

Socialpædagogisk Center Vest consists of a residence with room for 40 residents, and T-huset is a psychiatric residence with room for 8 residents. Both offers are §105-housing with support under the Social Services Act §85 and are aimed at adults with physical and mental functional impairments.

About the position

We are seeking a daily manager who can actively and positively contribute to the development of our staff and leadership community. You will become part of an engaged staff and coordination team, where there is room for new thinking, and where we build on a professional and organizational foundation.

As daily manager you will

• be a present leader in everyday life for both staff and residents
• participate in joint decision-making processes
• have the opportunity to jointly influence the professional and organizational direction
• support and collaborate with the center manager through follow-up

Your competences and strengths

You have a professional education in fields such as social pedagogy or nursing, and preferably leadership experience. It is an advantage, but not a requirement, that you have a formal leadership qualification or a desire to start one.

• are clear and fair in your decisions, even when disagreements or conflicts arise
• can balance residents' needs, professional quality and staff's wishes, especially in relation to working hours and planning. There is a shift planner employed in the center.
• have an overview of resources and can manage within given parameters
• can prioritise your time so that you both solve your tasks and are present in the important relationships

Key tasks

• Support and follow-up on professional quality
• Experience with the target group and collaboration with relatives
• Recruitment and hiring in collaboration with the center manager
• Handling sickness absence and conducting attendance conversations
• In the municipality of Faxe, the manager receives sick leave notifications, which means you will share a back-up on-call phone.
• Close and systematic collaboration with staff and external partners
• Contribute to developing interdisciplinary collaboration and strengthening the cohesion of the staff group
• Planning and facilitation of staff meetings and support at residents' meetings
• Participate in TRIO collaboration

About us

Socialpædagogisk Center Vest and T-huset have a broad multidisciplinary staff group, consisting of:

social- and health care assistants, social- and health care aides, nurse, social educators, occupational therapists, care assistants, house assistant and administration.

Employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and based on experience.

The salary for the position lies within a salary band of DKK 45,000 – 48,000. The concrete salary is set among other factors based on relevant experience, qualifications, education and other relevant qualifications.
