Pedagogical Leader for Southeast Daycare

Are you our new pedagogical leader who will start our new nursery?

The position is 37 hours per week with a commencement on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The Tirsdalen nursery will start in a pavilion in January 2027. We start from scratch and will gradually grow until all places are in use. At the same time, a process begins to build the permanent institution over the next 3 years. When the new institution is finished, all children and staff will move to the new institution.

The pedagogical leader is expected to

• join and contribute to the work of the management team for the overall day care, with a view to creating a sense of community around operations and task solving.
• contribute to the translation of overarching frameworks and goals in the day care into practice, and support the development of pedagogical practice in one or more departments.
• have a clear theoretical and pedagogical foundation, and be good at creating coherence between theory and practice.
• contribute to ensuring the pedagogical task of creating learning, well-being and development for children within the day care’s framework and overall task solving.
• support and ensure that knowledge sharing across the day care occurs on an ongoing basis.
• contribute loyally to the development of the day care, under the day care leader’s responsibility, with the aim of creating an environment with a high level of professionalism and good well-being.
• ensure good dialogue and an effective parent collaboration in one or more departments.
• be open to engaging in and leading change processes.
• have fundamental trust, loyalty and tolerance towards children, parents, staff, the day care leader and the municipality.
• have a theoretical leadership education.

This specific job places great demands on the leader's experience with: running a nursery, being a fully qualified leader, having knowledge and experience in training staff in the new common pedagogical foundation for the pedagogical work, and knowledge about culture-building. Therefore, applicants with experience in this will be preferred.

Please note that due to the timeline, staff will be hired in parallel with the appointment of the leader.
