Grave helper at Taulov Cemetery

A position as graveyard caretaker's assistant, 37 hours and year-round employment at Taulov Church is available as of 1 December 2026

The work includes all tasks commonly associated with graveyard caretakers. That is, maintenance of graves and the churchyard, access roads and other areas around the church and the cemetery.

Taulov Church is a beautiful, old medieval church that is run in a modern way but with respect for the traditions. We have an active congregation with many volunteers, and we place a strong emphasis on reaching out in the parish and being a church for the whole local area. We have success with this. As a workplace we are a place with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, where we are happy to listen to each other. We are a total of 10 employees, of whom 3 are employed to work at the cemetery.

We expect

• that you have a horticultural education – or experience in work within the green sector – and can perform ordinary maintenance and construction tasks
• that you are robust and prepared for outdoor, physical work also in bad weather
• that you have machine experience and can operate, repair and service the cemetery's machines
• that you are able to cover for the graver in his absence and in connection with this also be able to allocate grave sites, handle earth burials and urn placements, and manage telephone duties. There may be tasks in connection with Saturday burials perhaps 2 times a year
• that you can speak respectfully with the cemetery's users and meet them where they are

The position is without church service duties.

Employment is with Taulov Church's parish council and is covered by the agreement between the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs and 3F Trade Union. The agreements can be seen at www.folkekirkenspersonale.dk

307,463 kroner (step 2)
