Instructor for Welding Education

Will you pass on your craft to the next generation of welders? EUC Sjælland is seeking a professionally proud trade teacher for our welding education in Køge.

At EUC Sjælland's welding education, we are looking for an engaged and technically strong welder who wants to pass on their experience to future skilled workers. You don't need to be trained as a teacher – as long as you have professionalism, engagement, and a desire to work with young people, we will take care of the instructional and pedagogical development.

About the job

As a teacher you will be part of a strong professional community, where the instruction is based on real-world experiences from companies. We emphasize that the students encounter the technologies and working methods used in the industry today.

You will, among other things, be responsible for

• Teaching apprentices on basic and main programmes
• Teaching in technical drawing interpretation
• Working with CAD and digital drawing tools
• Planning teaching and teaching within the education regulations learning goals
• Linking theory and practice through exciting projects
• Contributing to the development of the future welding education
• Motivating and developing young people both academically and personally.

We imagine that you

• Have a journeyman/finish certificate as a welder
• Are professionally proud and want to pass that pride on to our students
• Can create relationships and collaborate with young people
• Either already hold or intend to obtain a diploma in vocational pedagogy
• Are curious about new technology and industrial development
• Have a taste for a varied day and strong collaboration skills
• Experience with teaching is an advantage but not a requirement.

EUC Sjælland is a vocational school with up to 260 staff and a turnover of DKK 200 million, operating as a self-governing institution in Southeast Zealand with addresses in Greve, Køge, Haslev and Næstved. We currently offer up to 20 different technical vocational educations, technical and vocational gymnasial educations (HTX and EUX), and a wide range of adult and continuing education offerings. In addition, we run a school training centre and a student housing facility. We have around 1,700 students, trainees and course participants daily.
