Junior doctor sought for Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic Ballerup, Psychiatric Center Ballerup

Well-functioning outpatient clinic with high professional standards and a focus on well-being.

Psychiatric Centre Ballerup, Herlev and Gentofte Hospital now seeks a younger doctor for our psychiatric outpatient clinic in Ballerup. The outpatient clinic operates from the FACT model and offers individually tailored, multidisciplinary treatment for people with severe mental disorders.

The outpatient clinic is organized into 4 subspecialized teams with: bipolar disorder (KAG), non-psychotic disorders, psychotic disorders and a team for patients under legal measures.

The outpatient clinic consists of around 40 staff distributed across the above teams, including chief consultant, consultants and junior doctors, as well as nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, recovery mentors, social workers and a secretariat. The professional community plays an important role, and everyone makes use of each other's competencies across teams. It is highly valued that we have a good working environment, and we continuously implement initiatives to maintain and develop it.

About the position

You will, in close collaboration with the team, be responsible for assessment and treatment of patients in the team.

The clinical, medical work takes place in an interdisciplinary collaboration and consists among other things of

• initial assessments and evaluation
• formulation of treatment plans
• medicine discussions
• network collaboration and work with relatives
• discharge letters and declarations
• professional sparring with the other staff
• that you participate in treatment conferences and teaching

You will be on shifts at the center. There are always two doctors on duty in addition to a back-up and SIF, so you are never alone.

You will have an exciting job in a well-functioning and development-oriented specialty department and will at the same time be a central part of Psychiatric Center Ballerup with a total of about 750 staff.

There are joint clinics, conferences and theme days for all doctors at Psychiatric Center Ballerup.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is to be filled from October 1, 2026 or by agreement.

The position can be filled as a registrar at level 1 (reserve doctor) or level 2 (first reserve doctor) if you have authorization to practise independently and several years of experience as a doctor.

You are employed under the agreement for junior doctors, including the agreement's provisions on working hours.

The outpatient clinic is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00. Your working hours will therefore primarily lie within this timeframe.

The region is a 24-hour area, and you may, after concrete need, be planned for shifts outside the outpatient clinic's opening hours in accordance with the working time rules in the collective agreement.
