About the job
Would you like to work closely with researchers, companies and public actors on concrete projects within the green transition? And would you like to help create structure and momentum in collaborations across DTU and external partners?
DTU is seeking a junior project and partnership coordinator. You will be part of our work to develop and support strategic collaborations within the green transition. Including a focus on the energy sector and our activities in the GreenLab Research Platform in Skive and DTU Hub Fredericia.
The position gives you the opportunity to gain experience in project management, research collaborations and innovation projects at the intersection between university, businesses and public actors. You will be part of the Office for Partnerships with just under 15 employees (Department of Research, Advisory and Innovation) anchored in DTU’s central leadership and administration.
Your primary tasks
You will join a number of projects across the Office for Partnerships. Your tasks will include among other things to:
- coordinate activities and projects around GreenLab Research Platform and DTU Hub Fredericia
- plan and follow up on meetings, workshops, seminars and other activities
- secure progress on agreements, deadlines and deliverables
- support collaboration with researchers across DTU’s institutes
- coordinate dialogue and activities with companies, universities, municipalities and other partners
- prepare meeting materials, presentations, short notes and project descriptions
- maintain project plans, activity overviews and documentation
- assist with communication about activities, research projects and results
- contribute to the development and execution of workshops and innovation activities
- help identify new opportunities for projects and collaborations within energy and the green transition.
You will have the opportunity to gradually take responsibility for your own activities and smaller projects. This also includes activities related to Energiø Bornholm, the university’s talent program etc.
About GreenLab Research Platform and DTU Hub Fredericia
A significant part of your work will be tied to two initiatives where DTU collaborates closely with external actors. GreenLab Research Platform creates frameworks for research and innovation around future integrated energy and industrial systems. Here, researchers work with companies and other universities on issues related to, among other things, energy systems, sector coupling, industrial symbiosis and the green transition.
DTU Hub Fredericia is a platform to create stronger connections between DTU’s research and companies and organizations in the area. Here you will contribute to translating dialogue between researchers and external actors into concrete activities and collaborations.
You will play a central role in supporting collaborations and ensuring that activities and projects develop in partnership with the involved parties. You will work closely with the responsible project manager.
Your profile
We envisage that you have a relevant master's degree and are preferably newly graduated. Your education could be in social sciences, innovation, technology, energy, sustainability or another relevant area. The most important is that you are interested in the interaction between technology, research and society.
We especially value that you
- have an interest in energy, innovation and the green transition
- are comfortable with a large network and many different professional disciplines
- are good at following up and completing tasks
- can keep an overview of multiple parallel activities
- communicate clearly in Danish and English
- take initiative and actively seek out the information you need
- are keen to learn project management and partnership development in practice.
You do not need to be an expert in energy systems. The most important is that you are curious and quickly able to grasp new fields of study.
What can you expect?
You will enter an environment where you have the opportunity to work on some of the big questions around the green transition and at the same time learn how research and innovation collaborations are established and run in practice.
You will receive
- close collaboration with experienced project and partnership developers
- a broad contact surface across DTU
- contact with researchers, companies, universities and public organizations
- the possibility to gradually take on greater responsibility for your own projects
- experience with research, innovation and partnership projects
- the opportunity to build a strong network within the Danish energy and innovation ecosystem.
Your primary workplace will be DTU Lyngby Campus. You should expect meetings and activities in, among others, Skive and Fredericia. A driving licence (B) is therefore an advantage, as the position involves regular travel between DTU locations and external partners.
Salary and terms of employment
Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the collective agreement for Academics in the State (AC). You will be employed as a legal employee of type “fuldmægtig” (academic staff). Additional allowances can be negotiated in accordance with DTU’s salary structure for AC TAP: www.inside.dtu.dk/human-resources/under-ansaettelsen/loen/loenstrukturer .
Starting 1 December or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a fixed-term employment until 31 December 2028.
