About the job

Are you a graduate with a cand.jur. or cand.soc.jur. degree with practical experience from the social sector, and would you like to help train the next generation of social workers and influence the development of a changing educational program? Then you might be our new colleague.

At the Institute for Social Work Education at the Copenhagen University College (KP) we are seeking a dedicated assistant professor or lecturer with legal knowledge and experience in the social sector to undertake teaching tasks as well as research and development assignments.

We are in the midst of an exciting change process. The new social work education calls for the development of new learning forms, professional coherence and progression, and a close link to the practice field. Therefore we are looking for an engaged colleague with legal competencies and solid experience from the social sector, who will help shape the future social work education, and who is passionate about making a difference through teaching, development work and research.

About the job

You will become part of a dedicated and interdisciplinary team consisting of teachers with backgrounds in social work, law, psychology and social sciences. Our primary tasks include developing and delivering teaching, supervising and conducting exams.

The Institute for Social Work Education houses a strong and well-established research and development environment with a focus on practice-oriented and profession-oriented projects relevant to both the education and the social practice field.

In the job you will, among other things

  • Teach and supervise students and contribute to their professional and personal development
  • Develop and test teaching methods, including differentiated teaching and workshop-based teaching, that strengthen students' learning
  • Participate in research and development projects that are closely connected to practice and meaningful for both the education and social work
  • Contribute to continuing education, including diploma programs and practice-oriented courses aimed at professionals
  • Engage in close collegial collaboration within teaching teams and across the organization.

About you

We imagine that you

  • Are a graduate with a cand.jur. or cand.soc.jur. degree with practical experience from the social sector and an understanding of the profession's terms and complexities
  • Have knowledge of the legislation that regulates social workers' work in relation to employment, children and young people, and vulnerable adults
  • Have teaching experience and/or are skilled at conveying professional knowledge in an engaging and accessible way
  • Possess good relational skills and are passionate about supporting and strengthening students' professional development
  • Have an interest in social work and a desire to participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration with colleagues
  • Are structured and flexible with the ability to plan and prioritize in a busy and sometimes unpredictable everyday life

We would also like you to have knowledge of the framework for professional bachelor educations and be motivated to contribute to an education in rapid development.

  • A job with a high degree of influence, and you can expect flexibility in your work planning and the possibility of teleworking.

Salary and employment terms

You will be employed as an assistant professor or lecturer with starting date 1 January 2027. Weekly working hours are 37 hours.

Employment is on the basis of the applicable state sector collective agreement and based on the Executive Order no. 414 of 27 April 2025 on the job structure for teachers at business academies, university colleges etc. The specific collective agreement depends on your educational background and will as a rule take place under either the Academic Collective Agreement or the Common Agreement for LC and CO10 . There will be an opportunity to negotiate qualification supplements.

If you are hired as an assistant professor, you will participate in KP's lecturer qualification program .

Employment as a lecturer requires a positive lecturer assessment under the regulations for lecturer qualification, cf. Executive Order no. 413 of 27 April 2025.

If employed as a lecturer under the old 2013 job structure, employment will generally be under the previously centrally fixed salary and employment conditions. Depending on the specific circumstances, renewal of lecturer assessment under the current job structure (fast-track arrangement) may possibly be agreed.

The workplace is located at Carlsbergvej 14, 3400 Hillerød.
