About the job

Do you want to lead a regulatory area that has great significance for citizens' daily lives? Are you passionate about leadership, professional quality and cross-disciplinary collaboration? And would you help translate the values of the new Elderly Act into practice? Then you might be the person we are looking for as the head of Visitation and Assistive Devices in Syddjurs Municipality.

In Syddjurs Municipality we work to ensure that citizens experience coherence, quality and proximity in their contact with the municipality. In the regulatory area we make decisions every day that have a great impact on citizens' lives and opportunities.

We are looking for a leader who can spearhead the continued development of the area while ensuring stable operations with high professional quality and responsible use of resources.

As a leader you will be responsible for Visitation, where engaged interdisciplinary staff solve regulatory tasks in the elderly area. You will also have the overall management responsibility for the Assistive Devices Center, which has a very strong department head.

You will become part of the leadership group in Health and Elderly and report to the Health and Elderly Chief.

An area in development

The new Elderly Act provides opportunities to think about support, collaboration and citizen involvement in new ways. We are already well underway with the transformation and are working to strengthen a holistic approach where the citizen's wishes, resources and life situation are the starting point.

Visitation plays a central role in the allocation of comprehensive care, assistive devices, home modifications, care and elderly housing. At the same time we are an important partner for among others comprehensive care, the training area, the nursing service, the social area and the region.

The area is in the midst of major changes, and it is therefore essential that you have solid experience with regulatory work and in-depth knowledge of visitation in the elderly area. We need a leader who understands the complexity of the regulatory task and can use their experience to set direction, support employees' professionalism and ensure progress in development.

A workplace with room for diversity and common solutions

In Visitation and Assistive Devices you will be part of an organization with an informal tone, short decision paths and a focus on holistic thinking and cross-sector collaboration. We value different perspectives and professional stances and believe that open dialogue, mutual respect and involvement create the best solutions.

Employees want a leader who is present, clear and available. A leader who sees the challenges they face and takes responsibility to act on them – whether it concerns the working environment, professional issues or the organization of work. A leader who listens and involves, but who at the same time dares to make decisions and set direction.

Your tasks

As head of Visitation and Assistive Devices you will be responsible for

  • Setting the direction for the area's professional and organizational development.
  • Ensuring stable operations, high professional and legal quality, as well as rule-of-law in regulatory work.
  • Leading and supporting the implementation of the new Elderly Act.
  • Creating good frameworks for employees and leaders through clear, trusting and inclusive leadership.
  • Ensuring coherence between professional ambitions, citizens' needs and the financial framework.
  • Strengthening collaboration across professional areas and sectors.
  • Translating political goals and decisions into practice.
  • Ensuring continued operation and development of the Assistive Devices Center in close collaboration with the department head.
  • Actively contributing to the overall development of Health and Elderly.

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced, action-oriented and relationship-building leader who can achieve results through others. You view change processes as a basic condition and as part of the core of the leadership task, and you can stand under pressure between professionalism, service, efficiency, values and legislation.

In addition, we value that you

  • Have experience with personnel management and can create following and motivation.
  • Have experience with the assistive devices area and understanding of the area's tasks and collaboration interfaces.
  • Have legal understanding and can support quality and rule of law in regulatory work.
  • Have understanding of working in a politically governed organization and can translate political decisions into practice.
  • Have economic understanding and can ensure responsible prioritization and resource use.

Do you want to help make a difference?

We are looking for a leader who can combine solid regulatory expertise with clear and trustful leadership, and who will help ensure a well-functioning everyday life and the continued development of Visitation and Assistive Devices.

If you are eager to lead an area where professionalism, collaboration and leadership make a concrete difference for citizens, we look forward to hearing from you.
