About the job

Do you want to make a difference for people who need psychiatric treatment? Then you may be the person we are looking for. We have 2 full-time positions available in Local Psychiatry Aabenraa as of 1.12.2026 or by agreement.

Who are we?

We are a multidisciplinary team with professionalism, quality and well-being in focus. The local psychiatry in Aabenraa consists of doctors, psychologists, nurses, social and health care assistants, an occupational therapist, as well as a social worker/care coordinator.

We are an outpatient psychiatric treatment service, treating patients according to the national treatment pathways. We are organized in 2 F-ACT teams and in addition to having our own patients in treatment, we are joint regarding patients who may need a more intensive and flexible treatment effort for a period. We also treat patients with substance use disorders, either in coordinated pathways in collaboration with the Substance Abuse Center or in an integrated treatment program, where patients receive both substance use treatment and treatment for their mental illness with us.

What does the work consist of

Your position includes independent management of patient pathways, home visits and teamwork. During a workday you will have conversations with your own patients, set joint goals for treatment, perform diagnostic assessments, assess medical effects and provide talk therapy. You will meet with your colleagues in different meeting forums for conferences, supervision and interdisciplinary discussions.

You will conduct assessments, screen for psychiatric symptoms and, in an interdisciplinary collaboration, assess and treat your patients. You will participate in and contribute to arranging network meetings with partners.

Approximately every 4 weeks you will, together with a colleague, cover the F-ACT duty. Here, outreach and faster treatment are offered to patients who at times could benefit from it. What the intervention should be is decided at cross-disciplinary daily board meetings.

  • Places the patient at the center and emphasizes collaboration with relatives
  • Wants to support and guide nursing students and social and health care assistant students
  • Preferably has relationship therapy training, cognitive training or other relevant qualifications
  • Familiarity with electronic patient record or IT at user level
