Nutrition hosts sought for fixed weekends and as on-call substitutes in the Nutrition Unit at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospitals

Then you might be one of Bispebjerg Hospital's new Nutrition Hosts?

The hospitality around the food and the care of meals play a major role, and this must be handled by nutrition hosts based from the Nutrition Unit, and will be implemented in phases across all wards in 2026. This means that weekend reliefs will be hired as nutrition hosts in new positions to support patients in choosing the right food so that their nutritional needs are covered during hospitalization.

You will thrive in and see an exciting challenge in landing in an organization under significant change, where many things are not yet in place. You will become part of the Nutrition Unit and will help find the best solutions with our colleagues in the various departments. We are here for the patients, and they are the focus of our decisions, initiatives, and workflows. We are ambitious and we always strive to do our best.

Your daily routine will be on the wards to which you are attached, and you will help establish new interdisciplinary collaborations and new workflows with your colleagues from the other professional groups within the departments. You will also need to work closely with the clinical dietitians and in close collaboration with the kitchen to relay patients' feedback and wishes about the meals.

We are seeking 10 colleagues for fixed weekends with an average of 5.5 hours per week

The position as Nutrition Host

• To host the patients and create a safe environment around meals
• To motivate and support the patient to choose the food and drink they want, and order it based on the individual patient’s nutritional needs as determined by the dietitians
• Overview of the patient’s daily food intake and the possibility, together with dietitians, to assess the patient’s daily intake to ensure they meet their nutritional needs
• To perform dietary registrations
• Plating the food and serving snacks
• To work closely with dietitians and nursing staff to ensure optimal nutrition for the individual patient.
• You should be eager to participate in an exciting and innovative change process, where you get a unique opportunity to help shape the role

About you

• Passion for hosting and nutrition
• Having a good overview as there are many balls in the air
• You are a student in the field of nutrition, preferably a Professional Bachelor in Health and Nutrition
• You possess good collaboration and communication skills
• You are motivated to engage in the interdisciplinary collaboration with dietitians and nursing staff as well as meal hosts with the patient in focus
• You thrive working independently and are good at structuring and prioritizing your time
• You have plenty of drive and good humor
• You are approachable and can build good relationships with patients.
• Stable and flexible

Fixed weekend shifts in the time slot 14:30-20:00 every second weekend and on-call substitutes with the possibility of extra shifts during holidays and illness

You will have a centrally located workplace at Bispebjerg Hospital. We are organized under the FM unit, and you will report to the Head of Nutrition Hosts, Tanja Krogsbæk

Salary according to applicable collective agreement for non-leading staff within the Health Union area 32.17.1. or Collective Agreement for house assistants, etc. - 34.01.1
