We are looking for an engaged and professionally well-founded curious nutrition professional for our dementia care center. With us you will be an important part of everyday life for the residents, where food and meals play a central role for both nutrition, togetherness and joy of life.

As a nutrition professional you will have a varied daily routine with responsibility for planning, production and quality assurance of meals as well as close collaboration with residents, relatives and colleagues across disciplines.

🏡 Who are we?

Karolinelund is a dementia care center in the scenic Gjern with 42 accommodations , of which 9 are temporary placements.

Karolinelund is undergoing a renovation this autumn and by the end of the year our new production kitchen will be finished. Here you will, together with another nutrition colleague, be responsible for preparing tasty meals for all residents. As a nutrition professional you will help rethink the future kitchen at Karolinelund.

• Plan and develop varied, nutritionally balanced and appetite-stimulating menu plans
• Ensure dietary calculations and adaptation of meals to our residents, including residents with small appetites as well as citizens with special dietary needs, diets and dysphagia diets
• Order raw materials and other necessary items and contribute to budget management
• Prepare around-the-clock meals consisting of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
• Adjust menus according to season, Danish food traditions and residents' wishes with a focus on generation-specific nutrition. Including producing as much food from scratch
• Guide colleagues on plating, serving and nutritional considerations
• Participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration regarding nutrition, diet and dietary counseling
• Ensure adherence to applicable food legislation, self-monitoring and hygiene requirements
• Contribute to the development of good meal experiences for our residents

• Has a relevant nutrition education, e.g. nutrition assistant or equivalent
• Has strong professional competencies within nutrition, cooking and menu planning
• Can work independently while also engaging in close cross-disciplinary collaboration
• Has knowledge of dietary calculation and use of IT systems
• Can maintain an overview in a daily routine with many different tasks and interruptions
• Is keen to participate in events where relatives are present

🕒 Practical info

• Working hours and volume: 37 hours or as agreed. There may be evening, weekend and holiday work
