Nutritionist with sole responsibility sought for Glim Refugium starting January 1, 2027

At Glim Refugium we are seeking an engaged and professionally well-founded diet/culinary staff member who wants to bring their competencies into a meaningful work environment where meals are an important part of residents' daily life, wellbeing and development.

Glim Refugium is a social-psychiatric residential facility for young people aged 18-35. We work from a rehabilitative, recovery-oriented and relationship-based approach, where community, structure and quality of life are central elements of the effort. Food plays a significant role in this work and helps create recognizability, safety and good experiences in everyday life. You should expect that residents, in turns, participate in parts of production, tidying, cleaning and similar tasks tailored to each individual young person’s resources and mastery.

About the position

As the diet-technical sole person responsible, you will be responsible for the kitchen's daily operation and for ensuring that both residents and staff are offered tasty, nutritionally correct and inviting meals. You plan, purchase and prepare lunch and dinner for residents and staff and organize the kitchen's work so that well-prepared food is available seven days a week.

The position is arranged with fixed weekday working hours, and an important part of the task is therefore also to plan and prepare varied meals for weekends and holidays. You will get great autonomy in task solving and the opportunity to influence the facility's meal culture in collaboration with residents and staff.

Your main tasks

• Planning and preparation of lunch and dinner.
• Preparation of varied and nutritionally correct meal plans.
• Organization of production to ensure lunch and dinner for residents all seven days of the week.
• Preparation of meals for weekends and holidays.
• Purchasing, stock control and inventory management.
• Self-check/cleaning and ensuring high hygiene and food safety standards.
• Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive meal culture.
• Involvement of residents in kitchen-related activities when it supports learning, community and development.

• Is trained as a chef or nutrition assistant.
• Has an interest in working in a social-psychiatric environment with young people.
• Can work independently and take responsibility for the kitchen's overall operation.
• Is structured, proactive and good at planning.
• Has focus on quality, nutrition and good ingredients.
• Meets other people with respect, engagement and recognition.
• Thrives in collaboration with colleagues from different professional backgrounds.

Starting salary for employees covered by collective agreement

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the salary may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
