Can you play so the angels sing and the congregation sings along?

A position as organist at Hjembæk and Svinninge Churches is available from 1 December 2026.

The position is 28 hours per week.

The organist shall perform the following duties

· Play for worship services and church ceremonies

· Play for nursing home services, and

· for weekday services

· Choir direction and occasional annual concerts

At the same time it should be noted that there may be outdoor services and ceremonies as well as replacements at Kundby Church.

Hjembæk-Svinninge parish has 3,789 inhabitants, 8 employees in the parish. The parish is characterized by a strong attachment to the Folkekirken, beautiful old churches and a good atmosphere between the parish council and the parish's employees.

The organ in Svinninge Church was built by Conrad Christiansen in 1972 with 11 stops, two manuals and pedalboard.

The organ in Hjembæk Church was built by Th. Frobenius & Sønner in 1969 with one manual and four stops.

Employment is with Hjembæk - Svinninge - Kundby parish council located Katrinedal 13, 4520 Svinninge.

Employment of a church musician will be covered by the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and CO10 and the civil service agreement between the Ministry of City, Town and Church and CO10 – Central Organization of 2010 for church functionaries with core tasks such as parish clerk, church and cultural worker or church musician and the corresponding protocol for church musicians.

Hiring of an organist with a degree as “Church Musician with Organ and Choir Direction” or an organist with PO-degree is covered by Agreement between the Ministry of City, Town and Church and CO10 – Central Organization of 2010.

Organists with a church music master's or bachelor's degree are covered by protocol to the academic collective agreement on contractual employment of DOKS- organists and permanent teachers at church music schools entered into between the Academics and the Ministry of City, Town and Church. The agreements can be viewed on the Danish Church Intranet

Current civil service employed organists have the right to retain their civil service status upon appointment with direct transfer. In such case a classification of the position shall take place.

Annual salary for a church musician is negotiated within the range of DKK 333,748 to DKK 475,590 (current kroner). There is a standby obligation to the position. The standby allowance amounts to DKK 27,641 annually (current kroner).

OK allowance of DKK 1,082 (current kroner).

An agreement on placement within the salary range is concluded between the parish council and the Danish Church Musicians Association before employment.

Annual salary for applicants with a church music master's degree (DOKS) is negotiated according to the new salary-AC scale. That is a gross salary between DKK 363,169 and DKK 442,529 per year (current kroner).

There is a standby obligation to the position. The standby allowance is annually between DKK 46,727 and DKK 72,573 (current kroner). Placement and standby allowance are awarded according to seniority. In addition, depending on local negotiation, qualification and function allowances may be awarded.

Annual salary for applicants with a church musician with education in organ and choir direction (formerly PO organists) is negotiated according to the agreed basic salary step system. Base step 1 is DKK 350,435 annually (current kroner) and base step 2 is DKK 368,189 annually (current kroner). Placement is according to seniority.

There is a standby obligation to the position. The standby allowance amounts annually to DKK 44,944 for service at 2-3 churches.

Salary, OK allowances and standby allowances are prorated in accordance with the position's appointment fraction.
