Maternity leave vacancy as project coordinator at Syddjurs Youth School

Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for for an exciting maternity leave vacancy at Syddjurs Youth School.

We are seeking an engaged, structured and initiative-taking colleague for a 37-hour-per-week maternity leave position with start on 1 January 2027.

About the position

As a project coordinator you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying out a range of the Youth School's largest activities, events and trips. You will become a central part of a dedicated team where collaboration, relationships and strong youth communities are the focus.

The position is diverse and combines project management, administration, communication and practical execution. You will be responsible for both longer planning processes and concrete activities close to the young people.

Trips and tours

A significant part of the job is to plan, coordinate and carry out several of the Youth School's trips and stays. This includes among others:

Snow trip to Nassfeld

Summer holiday trip to Damp Ostsee Resort

Autumn holiday trip to Paris

Development of new trips and travel offers

Participation in the trips as one of the responsible staff members

You will be involved in the whole process from idea and planning to execution, evaluation and development.

You also get a central role in planning and carrying out a number of larger events, including:

Youth School parties

Last day of school

Syddjurs Unified Student Council, where you together with student council representatives from the municipality's schools facilitate meetings and development processes

School astronauts

The School Astronauts are the Youth School's offering to schools with a focus on alternative learning experiences, well-being and community. You will participate in individual tasks and programs to the extent that fits with the position's other duties and activities.

Ad-hoc tasks

Ungsyddjurs is a dynamic organization where tasks requiring attention regularly arise. You must therefore be prepared that the workdays can sometimes be variable.

We are looking for a colleague who

Educational background could be, for example, a teacher, an academic or other relevant background.

In addition we place emphasis on that you

Are passionate about creating good Rahmen for young people's leisure and communities

Wish to work with both administration, planning and practical execution

Can keep an overview of many parallel projects

Are good at building relations with youngsters, parents and partners

Are initiative-taking and can work independently

Have a flair for communication, marketing and social media

Are flexible regarding working hours, as the position occasionally includes evening and weekend work as well as participation in trips

Experience from youth work, event planning, associations or similar would be an advantage but is not a requirement.

Employment terms

The position is a maternity leave cover of 37 hours per week starting 1 January 2027 to 1 October 2027. The application deadline is 23 November, and interviews will be held on 30 November.
