About the job

Are you keen to work with data and BI – and do you want to help shape a new role from the start? Then you might be the BI project manager we are looking for.

We are already looking forward to welcoming you! In the Data and BI Department we look forward to welcoming a committed and collaborative colleague who can take control of our larger BI projects and help create a solid data foundation for the region's many decisions. Since the position is newly created, you get the chance to shape both your own tasks and the way we drive the projects – together.

Your tasks

As BI project manager you will have a central role in developing the region's BI solutions and data foundation. You will work closely with colleagues across Data and BI, hospitals, staff, Regional IT and suppliers.

Your tasks will include

Drive larger BI projects from idea to solution

You are responsible for planning, managing and following up on projects that run from needs clarification to implemented BI solution. We need you when, for example, new sources are brought into the data warehouse – including establishing solid data foundations from the region's new ERP system – or larger transformations on the BI platform and cross-cutting BI initiatives with many stakeholders and dependencies.

Requirements gathering and workshops with the business

You plan and facilitate workshops where needs, data foundations, key figures and reporting needs – e.g., in relation to ERP – are clarified and prioritized. You help the business translate ideas and wishes into concrete and usable requirements for data and BI solutions.

Coordination of development, testing and implementation

You ensure that requirements clarification, BI development process, testing (including UAT) and implementation hang together, and that projects are carried out within the framework for access, security and data governance. You are the one who maintains an overview, ensures progress and follows up on activities and deliverables.

Collaboration across disciplines

You function as the link between business, data engineers, BI developers, service owner, Regional IT and possibly external suppliers. You create structure in the collaboration and ensure that decisions and agreements are followed through.

The position is newly created, and we do not expect that everything is fixed from day one. You get the opportunity to help shape both the role, workflows and collaboration forms – and we are curious about the experiences and ideas you bring with you.

Your profile

We imagine that you have a relevant higher education – e.g., in IT, economics, engineering, health informatics or similar – and experience with project management in BI, data or IT context.

We value that you

  • have experience leading projects with focus on scope, time, quality and economy – and can work pragmatically with both classic project models and agile methods
  • enjoy facilitating workshops and dialogue where you help the business formulate and prioritize requirements for data, key figures and BI solutions
  • have experience organizing and conducting tests in close cooperation with users, and following up on errors and change requests in a structured way
  • have basic knowledge of BI and data warehouse and can navigate the central steps from data ingestion and modeling to reporting and visualization
  • are good at coordinating across disciplines and can create clarity and progress in projects with many stakeholders
  • can express yourself clearly and understandably both in writing and verbally – even when the topic is technical or data-heavy.
  • If you have experience with ERP data it would be an advantage.

We care less about whether you follow a specific method, and more about whether you can create overview, ensure progress and get people to collaborate on good, data-driven solutions.

About us

You will become part of Data and BI, which consists of about 15 employees with different professional backgrounds and a common interest in data. We work on developing data warehouses, data models and BI solutions that support both hospitals and back offices in Region of Southern Denmark.

The department is in development both organizationally and technologically, and you will therefore experience a workplace where change and development are part of everyday life. We have an informal tone and value collaboration, professional curiosity and a good atmosphere. When you have settled into the job, there will be an opportunity to work from home 1–2 days per week.

Want to know more?

You are welcome to contact department head Lise Viskum Hansen 21367273 or chief consultant Iben Dreyer Pedersen 23258107 to hear more about the position. You can also send a text message to arrange a time.

Terms of employment

You will be employed on one of the following collective agreements depending on your educational background: Academics – collective agreement 33.01.1 or Collective Agreement for Administration and IT staff, etc. - 32.01.1. In addition to the starting salary, the salary may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
