About the job

Do you want to help prevent long-term welfare trajectories and create new opportunities for citizens with complex challenges? Do you also have a strong employment-focused expertise and believe that everyone can contribute to the labor market? Then it might be you we are looking for.

We are boosting our efforts for activity-ready citizens and therefore seek a social worker or social facilitator who will help strengthen our work with Early Intervention. The position is anchored in the area for activity-ready citizens in the Employment and Youth Centre.

In the Employment and Youth Centre we work intensively to act early, purposefully and in a holistic way. We believe that a close and coordinated effort from the start can prevent the citizen's challenges from growing, and that the welfare trajectory becomes unnecessarily long.

The target group primarily consists of activity-ready citizens over 30, many of whom may have mental health, social or health-related challenges. With the employment reform, the wage subsidy programs are phased out, and more citizens with complex issues are expected to become part of the target group of activity-ready social assistance recipients. The position is therefore created as an expansion to maintain a close, coherent and employment-oriented effort.

About the job

As an employment adviser you will have the authority for a group of activity-ready citizens. You will be the ongoing case handler and must together with the citizen create a clear direction toward the labor market.

You must be able to see employment opportunities, even when the road is long, and when the first realistic step may be a few paid hours, a small job or a business-facing programme. The goal is that the citizen experiences a coherent effort where the different interventions support each other and create progression.

A key part of the task is to ensure that the citizen is met early, and that the right effort is initiated at the right time. You must work curiously and systematically with the citizen's resources, challenges and own perspectives.

Your primary tasks will be

  • fulfill the authority tasks and the contact pathway for activity-ready citizens
  • actively contribute to our concentrated work with Early Intervention
  • create a trusting relationship with the citizen and ensure a clear and meaningful direction in the process
  • develop and follow up on My Plan together with the citizen
  • work employment-oriented with focus on progression, small jobs, ordinary paid hours and other realistic steps toward the labor market
  • initiate relevant employment-oriented and business-facing offers
  • coordinate parallel efforts across, among other things, the employment area, social psychiatry, the health sector, substance abuse treatment and interventions under the Service Act
  • involve relevant professional disciplines, companies and other partners
  • closely follow up on agreements, activities and the citizen's progression
  • ensure professional documentation and make decisions on an informed and legally compliant basis.

The effort must maintain a clear labor market focus. Paid hours for vulnerable citizens often require concrete matching, proactive dialogue with companies and ongoing support for both the citizen and the workplace. Therefore, relationship work and close follow-up will be an important part of your task.

We believe that even a limited connection to the labor market can have great significance. A few paid hours or a small job can strengthen the citizen's self-esteem, quality of life and sense of contributing to a work community.

Who are you?

You are educated as a social worker or social facilitator. You may be a recent graduate or have experience in the employment field. The most important is that you have a strong employment-professional interest and want to make a concrete difference for citizens with complex challenges.

We emphasize that you

  • believe that everyone has resources and can develop their attachment to the labor market
  • can combine support, clear expectations and employment-oriented direction
  • can create structure and progress in complex progressions
  • work systematically and keep overview of deadlines, agreements and follow-up
  • dare to make independent professional decisions
  • can translate new knowledge into concrete action in the citizen's case
  • communicate clearly, simply and respectfully in writing and speaking
  • have a sense of when other professional disciplines should be involved
  • thrive in close collaboration with colleagues, companies, doctors, treatment centers and other partners
  • actively contribute to the team's professional development and joint task solving
  • want to challenge conventional thinking and try new paths when it can lead to better results.

You must be able to work result-oriented without losing sight of the individual. You must also be able to stand secure in the authority role and create balance between citizen involvement, professional requirements and clear employment goals.

We offer

You will become part of a committed and professionally strong work community where we are ambitious on behalf of the citizens and each other.

We offer, among other things

  • opportunity to play a central role in the development of our work with Early Intervention
  • a strong professional environment with sparring, knowledge sharing and method development
  • systematic training and possibility for close professional and managerial support
  • a workplace where we recognise complexity and use mistakes and doubt as a starting point for learning
  • influence on the planning of tasks
  • dedicated colleagues who help each other and take shared responsibility
  • focus on well-being, humor and a good working environment
  • flexible frameworks, including flexitime and flexible Friday
  • flexitime
  • coffee, tea and fruit scheme

Interviews will be held on Wednesday the 26th of November 2026.

Background checks and/or criminal record checks may be obtained in connection with the employment.
