You will mainly be with the child in the kindergarten, where you will support the child’s ability to understand and participate in the activities and communities the child is part of. You will also have an important role in giving the child access to sign language and being a natural sign language role model in everyday life.

You will among other things

  • support the child’s communication and participation in the kindergarten’s everyday life
  • use sign language actively and naturally together with the child
  • contribute to developing the child’s sign language ahead of school start
  • translate communication in relevant situations
  • help the child become more independent in his/her communication

You will not be left to handle the task alone. You will be part of a collaboration around the child, with a focus on creating coherence between the child’s everyday life in the kindergarten, at home and the upcoming school start.

We are happy to have the opportunity to invite you further into this.

We collaborate with Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality, where we work cross-disciplinary to create good development- and participation opportunities for children and young people.

You will thus have a close collaboration with us in the kindergarten, PPR and relevant professionals around the child. We emphasize that you can both work independently and engage constructively in close collaboration with the adults around the child.

We expect that you

We offer

  • a meaningful and very hands-on task where you have the opportunity to make a concrete difference for a child
  • a daily life close to the child and the pedagogical environment in the kindergarten
  • close professional collaboration with the kindergarten’s pedagogical staff, PPR and relevant professionals
