About the job

Social and Health Care Assistants for permanent positions in night shifts at an exciting new unit

If you are educated as a Social and Health Care Assistant and you have the ambition to help start a completely new nursing home with respite places from the ground up in Rødovre Municipality, then it might be you we need.

About the new nursing home

We will together develop a home and a workplace where it is good to live and work. The new nursing home will be more than a traditional elderly housing offering. At the address, in addition to 15 nursing home places, there will also be 14 respite places for citizens who need a temporary overnight stay, relief or support for a limited period.

The placements should among other things support citizens with dementia and their relatives and contribute to citizens maintaining as much independence as possible through a care and nursing effort with a rehabilitative approach.

In the first instance, and starting respectively 01.12.26 and 1.1.2027 we hire for a department with space for temporary stay, where citizens can come to relieve relatives or because the citizen for one reason or another temporarily cannot stay at home. By January we expect to recruit for the nursing home department.

The first period

You, together with management, will help develop and support the professional direction and at the same time create the culture that will carry the house for many years to come. The culture should reflect high professionalism and a high degree of care. We solve tasks together with and around the residents. This applies whether they are here as residents or citizens in temporary stays for respite or for assessment.

Your main tasks

As a night shift, you and your colleague will together support the citizens' physical and cognitive abilities based on a rehabilitative and/or person-centered approach and perform relevant nursing actions. You will occasionally be an important part of the collaboration with relatives.

At night you are the house's calm but attentive link, where you, among other things

  • Ensure safe and calm nights for the residents and follow up on changes in their condition
  • Provide necessary personal care and prevent complications with dignity and care
  • Observe and record so day and evening shifts have a good professional basis to build on
  • Be ready for acute situations and handle them calmly and professionally in collaboration with relevant partners, e.g. home nursing and on-call doctors
  • Contribute to a good handover so the citizen's day and night flow across shifts
  • Carry out lighter practical tasks to support your colleagues on day and evening shifts

We are looking for you who

  • Are a licensed Social and Health Care Assistant
  • Have an interest in dementia, rehabilitation and preferably experience from the elderly care sector
  • Thrive in close collaboration and want to contribute with your professional expertise
  • Are engaged, flexible and responsible
  • Work independently and thrive with the responsibility; the night hours suit you

We offer

  • A workplace with the citizen in focus
  • The opportunity to help create a workplace with focus on a good working environment and psychological safety
  • A workplace with opportunities for influence
  • Opportunity for professional sparring and development

Working hours

You will work night shifts according to a fixed duty roster with 7 working days followed by 7 days off. It gives you long, continuous time off and a predictable everyday life.

Application

Send your application and CV no later than 14.11.2026. For further information or a visit to the unit, contact the current department head Katrine Reffstrup Hansen at phone 4021 9204 or the current manager Marianne Wenkens at phone 3076 8089.

We look forward to hearing from you!

We are continuously inviting applicants for interviews, so please feel free to send your application today.
