About the job

Social- and Health Care Assistants for permanent day-shift positions at an exciting new unit

Are you trained as a Social and Health Care Assistant and are you ready to be part of starting a whole new nursing home with respite places from the ground up in Rødovre Municipality, then it might be you we are looking for.

About the new nursing home

We will together create a home and a workplace where it is good to live and work. The new nursing home will be more than a traditional care home offering. At the address, in addition to 15 nursing home places, we will establish 14 respite places for citizens who need temporary overnight stays, respite or support for a limited period.

The respite places will among other things support citizens with dementia and their relatives and contribute to the citizens maintaining as much independence as possible through a care and nursing effort with a person-centered and/or rehabilitative approach. Initially, starting respectively 15.12.26 and 1.1.2027, we will hire for a department with space for temporary stays, where citizens can come to relieve relatives or because the citizen for one reason or another cannot stay at home temporarily.

In January, we expect to recruit for the nursing home department.

The first period

You must, together with the management, help develop and support the professional direction and at the same time create the culture that will carry the house for many years to come. The culture should reflect high professionalism, a high degree of care and compassion, and cosiness and activity. We solve the tasks together with and around the residents, for example by eating together at meals. This applies whether the citizens are here as residents or citizens in temporary reception for respite or for assessment.

Your primary tasks

As a day shift you and your colleagues will together support the residents' physical and cognitive abilities, both from a person-centered and a rehabilitative approach. Likewise, you will carry out nursing-related actions in collaboration with the nurse and be an important part of the collaboration with relatives. The daytime hours are the house's most active time, where you among other things:

  • Support the residents' morning routines and personal care with focus on resources and independence
  • Help create an active and meaningful everyday life with activities that stimulate both body and mind
  • Contribute to good meals and community around the table
  • Collaborate with relatives who visit the house during the day
  • Collaborate with the nurse and other professional groups on the rehabilitative effort

We are looking for someone who

  • Is a licensed Social and Health Care Assistant
  • Has interest and preferably experience in dementia, rehabilitation and the elderly care
  • Thrives in close collaboration and wants to contribute with your professionalism
  • Is engaged, flexible and responsible

•

We offer

  • An workplace with the citizen at the center
  • The opportunity to help create a workplace with a focus on a good working environment and psychological safety
  • An workplace with opportunities for influence
  • Possibility for professional sparring and development

Shifts

You will work in day shifts, where you have weekend duty every second or every third weekend. The individual employment is agreed in consultation with you, so it fits your daily life as much as possible.

Application

Send your application and CV no later than 15.11.2026. For further information or a visit to the unit, contact current department head Katrine Reffstrup Hansen on phone 4021 9204 or current manager Marianne Wenkens on phone 3076 8089.

We look forward to hearing from you!
