Geriatric Department, OUH Svendborg Hospital seeks a social- and health care assistant for permanent employment, in a combination of day shifts and evening or night shifts, as soon as possible or by agreement.

The position is 37 hours or as agreed, with shifts every 2nd or 3rd weekend.

Our geriatric ward has 32 beds. The care staff consists of dedicated nurses and social- and health care assistants who, in close collaboration, offer patients the best possible care, compassion and treatment. We have a close interdisciplinary collaboration with the department's clinical dietician, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, doctors and secretaries, as well as a close cross-sector collaboration with the primary sector.

In geriatrics we have a holistic approach, where patients and their relatives are involved in care, treatment and decision-making.

Svendborg Hospital is a dementia-friendly hospital, and in the Geriatric Department we pay particular attention to the demented patient.

We are seeking a social- and health care assistant

• who can work independently, efficiently and with compassion, and who has a positive, cheerful and motivating demeanor
• who can see the value of working interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral and holistic for the benefit of the geriatric patients, and who can engage in an established multidisciplinary collaboration
• who sees it as a challenge to work with difficult and complex patient pathways
• with a strong sense of responsibility for the relationship with the patients and their relatives
• who actively contributes to continuous improvements and who contributes to, and supports, the development of new initiatives

Salary and employment terms

Remuneration is in accordance with agreement with FOA, and the position is covered by local pay formation. Therefore a comprehensive CV is important.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told base salary, centrally set allowances and pension in 32.03.01.

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
