Deputy Chief Nurse sought for our geriatric inpatient ward

We are seeking an engaged and ambitious nurse with a deputy role for the chief nurse for our 32-bed ward with 50 staff.

The position is 37 hours per week with start on 1 December 2026, and it should be expected that you contribute to the department's weekend and on-call duty,

As a nurse with a deputy function you will handle agreed leadership tasks and act as a close sparring partner to your chief nurse.

We place, among other things, emphasis on you

• Contribute to daily coordination as a coordinator during daytime, ensuring a good structure around task execution, learning and work environment.
• Handle Introduction/competence development of responsible nurses, so this task is performed uniformly across all shifts and everyone is confident in this role
• Contribute to being responsible during shifts and be ward coordinator during daytime
• Focus on the good and coherent patient pathway
• Receive well and follow up on new employees. Support onboarding of new staff in collaboration with the clinical nursing specialist for onboarding, including conducting conversations, sending introductory material and coordinating training programs with cross-disciplinary collaborators
• Have a desire and ability to develop and motivate staff in their professional development
• Take responsibility and can step into the management role during the chief nurse's absence
• Actively contribute to a good working environment and a strong collegial community
• Be innovative, curious and brave, and dare to challenge habits and see new possibilities

Salary and terms of employment

Remuneration is in accordance with the agreement with DSR, and the position is covered by local pay formation. Therefore a thorough CV is important.

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally set allowances, and pension in 32.17.1.

In addition to the starting salary, the salary may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
