About the job

Are you sharp on delivering good service, and do you want to make a difference for other people? Do you enjoy talking on the phone, and do you dream of a student job with great responsibility and fantastic colleagues? We are seeking student advisers for the Danish Social Workers' Association's daily outward-facing role – our Member Service in the heart of Copenhagen – where you will become part of a strong team, with a special focus on service and well-being.

With us you get

  • A meaningful student job
  • Salary and conditions in line with the collective agreement
  • Flexible working hours
  • Practical experience with communication
  • Dedicated and friendly colleagues who are always ready to help you

You will become sharper in your own communication We are ambitious and place great emphasis on our members experiencing high-quality service. We therefore expect you to have a strong service mindset and to be a skilled communicator who can guide clearly and explicitly based on the member's needs.

We actively work to sharpen our communicative skills, and as part of your employment you will receive competent sparring and develop a sharp advisory profile – a broadly applicable and highly sought-after competence that opens doors across the labor market.

You preferably have experience with telemarketing or customer service by phone. You generally have IT-savviness and ease in approaching new systems. You are flexible and responsible regarding your shifts and thrive with a high degree of responsibility and self-organization in your job.

Your tasks As a student adviser in our contact center you will service members across telephone and email.

Your main task will be to advise members about employment-related matters such as salary, parental leave and vacation, as well as administrative aspects of membership and dues. You will also be part of our regular outreach efforts, where we reach out to members who are at a transition in working life – it could be a new job, unemployment, parental leave, etc. – who need to know what we as their union can do for them.

Because daily life in the contact center can be variable, it is important that you have an independent, responsible and flexible approach to your tasks.

Practical information You are a student pursuing a higher education and can show a student card and have at least 2 years left of your studies.

You will be employed on a contract of 10 to 15 hours per week on average and will be based in the Secretariat at Toldbodgade 19 B close to Nyhavn. You will be part of a team with 6 permanent staff and 2 students reporting to the daily manager.

We are available to members during normal office hours Monday to Friday, and with reasonable flexibility you can schedule your shifts yourself according to a monthly shift plan. A typical shift is between 4 to 7.5 hours.

Your employment starts with an onboarding program. We teach the professional content, IT systems and service training. There is a lot to learn, but you can be confident that we will arrange a good progression for you.
