About the job

Nurse for Kalørgruppen – only day shifts and weekend every 4th or 8th weekend Do you want to be a nurse somewhere where professionalism, humor and good colleagues actually fill everyday life?

We are seeking a nurse for a 32-37 hour per week temporary position in the period 1 January 2027 to 1 February 2028 .

The position is exclusive day shifts , and you can choose whether you want weekend shifts every 4th or every 8th weekend .

Who are we?

In Kalørgruppen we are about 90 colleagues: nurses, social- and health assistants, social- and healthcare aides, therapists, trainees and students.

We work with citizens with physical functional impairments and provide nursing care, home care and rehabilitation to citizens with both temporary and longer-term needs.

Here we work closely across disciplines. We help each other, also when everyday life changes, and we don’t believe that a task becomes less important because it normally belongs to another professional group.

With us you are a nurse with your own professional expertise, but first and foremost you are part of the team.

What can you look forward to?

We have a fast pace, but also room for laughter and to ask each other for help.

We generally do not use external temporary staff. Instead we help each other to make everyday life work. It requires flexibility, but also gives a strong sense of collegiality and a daily life where we know each other.

You will have visible and present leadership who knows the operation and is not afraid to participate themselves when needed.

Professional development is given high priority. Therefore we have, among other things

  • nursing meeting every 5 weeks
  • professional presentations and discussions
  • knowledgeable nurses in areas including diabetes, palliative care, wound care, cardiovascular diseases and COPD
  • opportunity for development days focusing on a nursing specialty area
  • participation in DSR's Professional Day and the Nursing Professional Forum
  • focus on both cross-disciplinary and monodisciplinary sparring

Short answer: You should not only solve today’s tasks. You should also have the opportunity to continue developing as a nurse.

Who are you?

We are not looking for a particular type. But we hope that you

  • are a trained nurse
  • thrive with independence and responsibility
  • can keep an overview, even when the day does not go exactly as planned
  • are professionally curious and want to work with complex citizen pathways
  • see documentation as a natural part of good nursing care and are reasonably comfortable with IT
  • willing to share your knowledge while being curious about what other professional groups can do
  • enjoy relationship-building with citizens and relatives
  • contribute to a work environment where we talk to one another and not about one another
  • and may also have a sense of humor. We indeed have plenty of it.

You do not need to be able to do everything from day one. The most important thing is that you want to learn and be part of the community.

When you start with us

We do not believe that a good introduction is completed after a couple of follow shifts.

Therefore you will receive

  • 4 weeks of individually tailored training
  • a mentor who supports you until you feel confident in the tasks
  • 4-day introductory course together with other new colleagues in Odense Municipality
  • a course in medication handling with a pharmacist
  • instruction in nursing documentation
  • opportunity for courses, education and professional development
  • influence and responsibility in planning the citizens’ pathways
  • opportunity to clearly bring your nursing expertise into play in the interprofessional collaboration.

And then you will get what we consider one of the most important things

Colleagues who help each other when the day gets busy.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement between KL and the negotiating organization.
